Story
Introducing Sage!
Sage had been with the same owner since he was a puppy. However, due to his former owner's health problems, Sage was surrendered to the Pom Palace. At first, he was a little shy and had a little stress . He can be a little bit of a picky eater, but loves his Fresh Pet. His former owner had him on Canidae, but now he just wants Fresh Pet. Sage is very, very friendly and loves to play with both male and female dogs. In his former home, he played with a larger dog.
He had an injury on his right hind leg, but has had surgery and is now in great health! He runs and jumps vigorously. I would keep an eye on him, though, and not let him jump off of high beds and chairs etc….
He loves squeaky toys and loves treats!!! Loves chews also.
Born on 09/29/21, Sage seems like a puppy. Sage was not crate trained, but we have gotten him used to the crate, and when gone, since we have multiple dogs, we have crated him to keep him safe. Here, I have caught him trying to mark where other dogs have gone, but he is pretty good at going outside to go potty. It is entirely up to you where you would like him to sleep. Right now, he sleeps on a dog bed in the office.
We highly recommend keeping him on the same diet or maintaining the same dry food while swapping out the topper, but please ensure it's a good-quality topper. Feeding your dogs a nutritious diet is essential for their long-term health. We would also recommend dog health insurance.
He is very smart, and with daily exercise to engage him, he will be super happy. When I tell him NO, I say it firmly and when it is really a NO I use my index finger and point it at him and say NO. Then he gives me those puppy dog eyes!!! LOL!

SCHEDULE:
6 - 7am - Potty time
7:15 am - Breakfast which is 1/2 cup of dry food Canidae, and 2 big tablespoons of Fresh Pet crumbled and mixed on top of his food.
1 pm - Potty time - snack time. Just be careful of treats with corn syrup or sugar. The more natural the better.
5:00 - 6:00 PM - Potty time and dinner time
9:00 - 10:00 PM last potty time for the night
