Story
Ricki — your future little shadow! 🐶💕 Ricki is a 6-year-old, 10-lb sweetheart with a gentle personality and a heart full of love. She absolutely adores being petted and held and has all the makings of the perfect lap dog. If you're looking for a loyal companion to curl up with, Ricki may be your girl! ✨ About Ricki: • Age: 6 years • Weight: 10 lbs • Energy Level: Medium • Temperament: Very friendly, sweet, and affectionate • Favorite Activities: Running around in a fenced yard and soaking up attention • Favorite Treats: Low-calorie treats (not picky!) 🍽 Feeding: 4health Small Breed Formula Chicken — ½ cup at 8am and 4pm 💊 Monthly Prevention: Simparica Trio (given on the 1st of each month) 🐾 Training & Manners: • House trained (scratches at sliding glass door to go out) • Will use puppy pad if left alone • Crate trained • Dog friendly (needs time to warm up to medium/large dogs) • Best with kids over 6 ⚠️ Important Notes: Ricki is a runner and will look for opportunities to slip outside. She may rush through doors, so supervision and caution are very important. She would do best in a home that can gate off exits or crate her when leaving, unless she can't get to the door when you get home. 🏡 Ideal Home: Ricki’s perfect home would have: • A secure fenced-in yard (she will check fence lines) • Adults or older, mature children • A family committed to keeping her safe She sleeps happily in her own bed or cuddled up in yours. She wears a collar for tags and uses a harness for walks and car rides. Once comfortable, she does wonderfully with other dogs. Ricki is a loving little companion just waiting for the right home to keep her safe and spoiled. 💕 Could that be you? Apply at Chirp.me/LDR or https://form.jotform.com/193426050531147 Our adoption process starts with our application. Once the application is approved, a member of Legacy will contact you to set up a home visit. The home visit usually last 1-1.5 hours and is to make sure our dog and any current dogs/cats are getting along, as well as both of us agreeing it's a fit. At this time the adoption fee is due, and begins the 2 week trial. We will check in during the 2 week trial. If it's not working, our dog is returned to the foster home and all except $100.00 {$75 if Senior} of the adoption fee is returned. At the end of the 2 week trial, you decide if you will finalize the adoption - if finalized, the Adoption Contract is signed and all medical records are turned over to you. If at any time you need to rehome the dog it contractually needs to be returned to Legacy Dog Rescue. ADOPTION FEE's: Puppies under 6 months:  $199.00 Adults:  $150.00 Seniors (over 7 yrs):  $99.00 If you are interested in one of our dogs please fill out an application: https://form.jotform.com/193425528783165

Story
Cannoli is a 10-pound, multi-colored Pomeranian. She is approximately 7 yrs old. She came to Dogs Unlimited Rescue after a kind Good Samaritan found her in heartbreaking condition. This tiny girl was severely matted, dirty, hungry, thirsty, and covered in fleas and ticks. Despite everything she has endured, Cannoli is as sweet as can be. She loves being with her people, enjoys sitting by your side soaking up affection, and has a very calm, loving personality. With her beautiful multi-colored coat, sweet eyes, and gentle nature, it is easy to see why everyone who meets her falls in love. Cannoli appears to do well with other small friendly dogs, walks nicely on a leash, and is doing great with her house training. She is also completely crate trained and settles comfortably in her crate. While we have not had the opportunity to test her with cats, we do not anticipate any issues. Because of her small size and mature age, we believe Cannoli would thrive in a home with older, respectful children (10 years and older) who can appreciate her gentle nature and provide a calmer environment. Cannoli has already had a thorough veterinary evaluation. The good news is that all of her bloodwork came back looking good. Unfortunately, she did test positive for Lyme disease and is currently being treated with doxycycline. Her veterinarians expect her to make a full recovery. It is important to note that once a dog tests positive for Lyme disease, they can continue to test positive for years afterward, even after successful treatment. As part of her workup, Cannoli also had X-rays and an ultrasound performed to establish a baseline and help determine whether she had previously been spayed before undergoing surgery. Her X-rays did reveal some arthritis in her hips, and one hip appears to be slipping in and out of place. However, most of the time this does not slow her down. She will need steps to get on/off furniture and a home with carpet/rugs due to her hip issues. Slippery floors will be a challenge for her. Cannoli was spayed and had her dental on 6/10. She had a lot of teeth pulled and will need to be on a soft/canned food diet as a result. She will be available for adoption in approximately 2 weeks after she has had time to fully heal. We only do local adoptions. Adopters are required to be within a one mile radius of Cleveland.

Story
Miracle is a cuddly, sweet girl who just wants head scratchies and pets. She loves laying out in the sun. Once she warms up, she'll come right over and sit close by, or sit near her person, just looking for gentle love! Miracle seems to have been somewhat neglected in her prior home, so we feel she'd do best in a home with a person who understands seniors, and just give her a comfy spot to live out her years! Miracle currently lives with 3 foster siblings, and is fine with them, but does not play with them, she'd much rather be snuggled up on the couch!
