You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I’m Tiara — and yes, I know I’m tiny and adorable. At just 5 pounds, I’m basically the size of a little puffball with legs. But behind all this fluff is a sweet little girl who’s been through quite a journey/ Before coming to rescue, I spent weeks running around a neighborhood as a stray while kind neighbors tried so hard to catch me and keep me safe. By the time I was finally rescued, I was covered in fleas and ticks, my fur was badly matted, and my poor teeth were in rough shape from periodontal disease. I am a sweet girl, but I do need some time warming up. I am not a feisty girl, but I will try to run away from you. I just need some patience. I get along wonderfully with other dogs, I’m very quiet, and I even seem to be somewhat potty trained already. I’d love a home where life is peaceful and where someone understands that little dogs like me need regular grooming and brushing to keep our beautiful coats healthy and mat-free. Pomeranians are also known for dental issues, so my future family will need to stay committed to regular dental care to keep my smile healthy for years to come. I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, 4DX negative, current on ProHeart 12 and Bravecto, and I even had a recent dental completed — so I’m truly ready for my fresh start. I’m currently in Texas, but I can travel to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and along the East Coast. Meet Kip! Kip is an adorable adult Pomeranian mix with a fluffy coat that will need regular grooming to keep it looking its best and free of tangles. He enjoys going for walks, exploring his surroundings, and taking in all the sights and smells along the way. Kip is also a big fan of treats, making him a great candidate for continued training and bonding. With his curious nature and sweet personality, he's sure to make a wonderful companion. Dearest human types, my name is DARCILYNN and I'm a discerning lady looking for a new home. I enjoy the finer things in life and I'm looking for a home with someone ready to keep me in the style to which I believe I am entitled. Everyone is saying I look like a Pomeranian mix, possible a Pomeranian/Schipperke, aka a Schip-A-Pom or Pomerke. I'm looking to be the center of someone's universe, your one and only love. I do not wish to live with other dogs. I don't even like to think of myself as a dog, so I have no interest in living with one of those butt sniffers. I do require a human who will be willing to take care of my need for spa services -- regular brushing, luxurious baths and mani/pedis of course. It's rude to ask a lady her age and weight, but if you must know I am 3-5 years old and weigh about 18 pounds, although I am currently carrying around a bit of extra fluff if you catch my drift. If you'd like to meet up to see if we might be a good match, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org and a member of my staff will be in touch. We can also meet up at this adoption event thingy, Saturday 11:30am-1:30pm at PetSmart Eastgate. Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. At just 8 pounds, 12-year-old Linus is basically a tiny, fluffy gentleman with the soul of a sweet little grandpa. 🥹 This precious Pomeranian mix was adopted from a shelter four years ago and recently found himself back in rescue through absolutely no fault of his own when his owner had to move into a nursing home. Now Linus is looking for a soft place to land for the rest of his golden years — and it doesn’t take even a moment to realize he deserves nothing less than the very best. Linus does have some typical senior-dog changes, including reduced hearing and some age-related cloudiness in his eyes, but none of that slows down his sweetness one bit. He’s wonderful with other dogs, politely ignores cats, and absolutely adores kids. He’s potty trained on a frequent routine and does great when kept on schedule. Because he’s an older little guy, he can’t hold it for super long stretches anymore, but he’s very good about using potty pads during long work days.
