Ginger is a cute 12-year old female Pomeranian who was brought to the HSOV on November 15, 2025 by Good Samaritans who found her on State Route 339 in the Vincent Ohio area. Ginger was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped. Ginger has a dark tan/red medium-haired coat, a long tail, and an adorable Pomeranian face with dark brown eyes, a tiny slender muzzle, and small erect ears. This little senior citizen has a sweet affectionate personality. She loves her people friends, and she also gets along with other dogs. Ginger appears to have some of the physical conditions which are common with the privilege of becoming older. Ginger weighs 13.2 lbs. Ginger loved being held in HSOV Kennel Tech Hannah McClain's arms when these photos were taken on the afternoon of November 16th. Hannah and HSOV Lead Feline Kennel Tech Lauryn Hamilton treated Ginger to a 'pedicure' after she posed for her glamour pictures .. Many dogs do not like to have their nails trimmed, but Ginger was in 'seventh heaven' sitting on Hannah's lap while Lauryn gently trimmed Ginger's long nails. Seeing Hannah and Lauryn giving Ginger extra care and making her feel safe/loved brought happy tears to our photographer's eyes .. These quiet behind-the-scenes acts of love which HSOV cats and dogs receive from our compassionate kennel techs/shelter staff are surely a reflection of their kind hearts .. They give the shelter animals the same loving care as they give their own pets. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Ginger will be held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership. Since she was not reclaimed, Ginger went home with a foster family as a medical foster so that she could enjoy being in a real home environment instead of being in a shelter floor crate.

Midnight is a 5 year and 1 month old Pomeranian weighing 10 pounds. He came to the shelter as an owner surrender. This pup needs time, and a lot of it. Time to learn to trust, time to adjust, time to heal. A quiet home with an experienced adopter would be ideal. Midnight has slowly started to come out of his shell and show us his personality after being here at the shelter for over 5 weeks. Midnight can be fearful of everything, he'll watch, bright eyed and trembling in fear. You can scoop him up, once you catch him, move to fast and you'll be running around in circles. He'll quietly sit in your lap and he allows you to brush him and did well with the groomer. He has no idea how to walk on a leash and will need housebreaking. He is true to his breed and can be sassy and bark a lot. Good with other dogs and cats. Regular grooming required, weekly brushings in between professional grooming appointments.His adoption fee is $250, this includes his neuter, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. His dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $21.00. Please visit the shelter to meet him, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today!
