Ricki — your future little shadow! 🐶💕 Ricki is a 6-year-old, 10-lb sweetheart with a gentle personality and a heart full of love. She absolutely adores being petted and held and has all the makings of the perfect lap dog. If you're looking for a loyal companion to curl up with, Ricki may be your girl! ✨ About Ricki: • Age: 6 years • Weight: 10 lbs • Energy Level: Medium • Temperament: Very friendly, sweet, and affectionate • Favorite Activities: Running around in a fenced yard and soaking up attention • Favorite Treats: Low-calorie treats (not picky!) 🍽 Feeding: 4health Small Breed Formula Chicken — ½ cup at 8am and 4pm 💊 Monthly Prevention: Simparica Trio (given on the 1st of each month) 🐾 Training & Manners: • House trained (scratches at sliding glass door to go out) • Will use puppy pad if left alone • Crate trained • Dog friendly (needs time to warm up to medium/large dogs) • Best with kids over 6 ⚠️ Important Notes: Ricki is a runner and will look for opportunities to slip outside. She may rush through doors, so supervision and caution are very important. She would do best in a home that can gate off exits or crate her when leaving, unless she can't get to the door when you get home. 🏡 Ideal Home: Ricki’s perfect home would have: • A secure fenced-in yard (she will check fence lines) • Adults or older, mature children • A family committed to keeping her safe She sleeps happily in her own bed or cuddled up in yours. She wears a collar for tags and uses a harness for walks and car rides. Once comfortable, she does wonderfully with other dogs. Once the application is approved, a member of Legacy will contact you to set up a home visit. The home visit usually last 1-1.5 hours and is to make sure our dog and any current dogs/cats are getting along, as well as both of us agreeing it's a fit. At this time the adoption fee is due, and begins the 2 week trial. We will check in during the 2 week trial. If it's not working, our dog is returned to the foster home and all except $100.00 {$75 if Senior} of the adoption fee is returned. At the end of the 2 week trial, you decide if you will finalize the adoption - if finalized, the Adoption Contract is signed and all medical records are turned over to you. If at any time you need to rehome the dog it contractually needs to be returned to Legacy Dog Rescue. Victor is a 3 year old male cross between a Pomeranian/Shih Tzu and a Pomeranian/Poodle. Half Pom and half Shih-Poo! PomShihPoo? That word is bigger than he is! Victor weighs in at about 16 pounds, full grown, and is perfect lap size. Victor (and his brother Hugo) found themselves in need of a home due to their owner simply not being able to care for them the way she wanted to due to financial hardship. There is so much of that going on and it is heartbreaking. We are so glad she decided to trust us to find them each a wonderful home of their own! Victor is a happy social boy. He loves attention, loves to cuddle, loves toys, and regular has the zoomies. He is figuring out this whole `walk on a leash` thing, and slowly but surely is getting it! He is mostly house trained, good with other dogs, seems very non-reactive with cats, and would probably be okay with respectful slightly older kids. He does shed, but has a pretty easy upkeep coat that would do well with regular grooming visits and brushing in between. Victor is the bolder of the two brothers, but can still be slightly tentative upon first meeting - it doesn`t last though. He`s pretty outgoing and confident for the most part. All in all he is an adorable little boy with a long and bright future ahead once he finds just the right family to call his own! Victor will soon be ready for adoption. Hugo is a 3 year old male mix of a Pomeranian/Shih Tzu parent and a Pomeranian/Poodle parent - half Pom but all POMSHIPOO. He and brother Victor are 100% unique! Hugo is slightly smaller than his brother and weighs in at around 15 pounds, full grown. Small in stature but big on personality and sweetness!Hugo is the less confident brother - not fearful, just a bit more hesitant. He needs a few more cuddles, a tiny bit more time to be comfortable, a little less activity around. He likes other dogs, seems totally non-reactive with cats, and pretty accepting of all people. He`s a submissive sort and has been known to have a little bit of a nervous wee here and again when he is first in a new situation or meeting a new person, but we think that will resolve on its own as he gets comfortable with a new person in a new home. He is mostly house trained (well, see above with the submissive drip drop) and would probably do best in a home with older kids (teenage and up) or just adults. Nothing too crazy active or busy for this boy. Hugo would definitely do well in a home where he was taken out and about to see this big old world of ours - just to see that it isn`t very scary really, just big and unknown sometimes. We believe that without his brother to hide behind he can really have a chance to shine and thrive given a human willing to help him find his joy. Hugo will be ready for adoption soon. Lola was surrendered to us when her person was moving into assisted living. She is fostered with multiple dogs, loves to go for walks in her stroller (which will come with her), and is about as sweet and easy as a dog can be.
