hi Banks, this handsome boy is an approx. 4 year old Pomeranian. He was surrendered to our care with 4 other dogs from a commercial breeder in Lancaster as he was no longer wanted. He is about 12 lbs. Banks is the goodest boy in the land. While he came to us very dirty and matted (see last picture), it is thankfully nothing a good groom can't fix. He sadly had to be shaved down short but now that he is more comfortable, his fur can be properly taken care of. He is a sweet and easy going fellow who is excited for his next chapter. He is happy to see his volunteers, social and easy to handle. He would need to meet any resident dogs. He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. He also had a dental. Hi! I’m Ralph! I’m a small and shy Yorkie-Pomeranian mix with a gentle soul and a whole lot of love to give! At first, I can be a little unsure—being picked up makes me a bit nervous—but once I feel safe with you, I’m all about the cuddles! I absolutely adore giving kisses and snuggling up close to your neck. I’ve even been known to sneak in a few playful toe nibbles just to make you giggle! I’m still learning that the world is a safe place, so I’ll need a family that’s patient and kind. Once I warm up, I’m the sweetest little shadow you could ask for. I’d do well with another gentle dog to help show me the ropes, but I’d also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only cuddle buddy. I’m not fully potty trained yet, so I’ll need a patient and committed family to help guide me through it with lots of encouragement and consistency. I am crate trained and doing well, but I’ll need time to learn all the right habits! Because I’m a little guy and a bit shy, I’d do best in a home with kids over 10 who understand how to be gentle with me. I’d also be a great match for a calm, loving household where I can build confidence at my own pace. Since I’m too young to be neutered right now, I will be adopted under a Neuter Contract. More information will be provided to my adoptive family. I am UTD on vaccines for my age and will need additional boosters and a rabies vaccine once I’m old enough. He is a silly little guy filled with lots of energy but also a pro snuggler who would make a great family dog. He does great with everybody after he takes a few minutes to warm up, loves to go on walks and has learned to travel in a car without getting sick! He does vest with small to medium dogs, and is okay with cats but does like to try to play/chase at times. He is cate trained, leash trained, and house trained. He will need a home who will get him groomed every 4-6 weeks as his type of hairy coat mats easily. He loves other dogs and relies on them to thrive. His short life was spent in a mill, but he allows all handling. He is learning how to play with toys and is often seen playing tug with his furry foster brother. He is pee pad trained and is working on house training, crate trained, and does well in a car. He loves to play and does zoomies in the yard. He is not leash trained, so a fenced yard is required, but we are working on him walking on the leash. This does take time with puppy mill releases, and we know it will improve. He is a fluffy guy, so regular grooming is required.
