Found as a stray in South Carolina with a microchip, it's clear she once had a home to call her own. Unfortunately, the microchip was a dead end, and no one showed up to claim Peaches from the shelter. She's now safe with us in foster care!    Peaches is a princess through and through. She loves sleeping on furniture and in bed with you, but she's also accepted the crate and sleeps there through the night and anytime her foster family isn't home. She doesn't like pottying on leash and much prefers to go in the yard, so a fenced-in yard is best for this spoiled girl! She has lived with other dogs and cats and done great with everyone. Due to her small size, any kids should be 8 years or older. He was a street dog along a major 4 lane highway for at least a month before being captured, but no one ever claimed him. George is sweet, playful, and loves his people as much as he loves food. This stubby legged brindle boy is eager to learn and super food motivated. He did pick up some tick friends during his travels leaving him with Lyme and Anaplasma, but we treated him doxycycline for 21 days and he is one heathy dude now. He is create trained, leash trained, loves car rides, but needs a tiny bit more perfecting on the house training so a belly band will save you from any headaches for a future family. George is truly perfect package as your one and only! DNA results revealed George is a Pomeranian, Mini Pinscher, Shih Tzu, Mini Poodle, and a little bit of Pekingese mix. This sweet boy was used strictly for breeding and lived in a rabbit hutch his whole life so the world scares him. He is learning that humans are for love and scratches, while loving his freedom of playing with other dogs and toys in the yard. He will need a committed home that is patient while he adjusts. Poncho is house trained with regular potty breaks, but he is still learning and accidents happen. He is on an anxiety medication that we hope won't be needed forever, but it has helped him overcome so many fears that it does need continued until he is fully adjusted to a new home. Poncho is super sweet and in the right home with other dogs he will thrive. He will need a fenced yard as he doesn't know what a leash is yet, but this guy is smart and will learn with time. He tends to seek out human females in the home, but can live with men. He just doesn't quite accept attention from the man of the house yet, but he is curious. Miwak came to us from the NYACC a bag of bones, bald, and smelling of death. He was in such terrible condition we actually thought he was a Chinese Crested with severe skin allergies, but a DNA quickly showed that he is a Pomeranian with 9% Poodle in there. Turns out Miwak was suffering from EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency), allergies, and a skin infection. We got him fixed up, on prescription food with added enzymes, and poof a fluffy coat appeared! He will need to stay on a prescription diet with added enzymes for life as well as a few medications for allergies, but besides that he is a healthy estimated 7 year old, 14 pound boy ready for a home of his own. Miwak has been sick for a long time so now that he is feeling better, he acts like a playful puppy again. He loves toys, walks, and other furry playmates to romp with. He does like to lift his leg and claim everything as his, but a bellyband is a simple tool to keep that pee contained while he continues working on housetraining. Miwak is shy with new people but after a few minutes he will be your best friend! This guy is truly a unique looking boy with so much life and love to share.... he just needs a family to do it with. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Edna is a beautiful 10 pound Pomeranian estimated between 6 and 8 years old. She is completely healthy except for bilateral hypermature cataracts that don't slow her down one bit. Edna adapts quickly to new places, is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, does well in a car, and does well for grooming and vet visits too! Edna is super sweet and outgoing with all humans. She currently lives with other small dogs, but because of her visual impairment she is very easily startled leading to her correcting other dogs in the home for a few weeks to give her space. Due to this we feel she would thrive as an only dog or in a home that has the patience to understand she stops this behavior eventually and that the other dogs are stable enough not to retaliate her corrections. These behaviors are not aggressive and she never makes contact with the other dogs, but again, an only dog home would be best for her or maybe a kitty companion that wouldn't care. Edna is SMART! She knows commands, knows how to do steps, and she is very obedient to her people. This little lady is a gem of a girl looking for her perfect home to be pampered in and a fenced yard to patrolwould be her dream abode!
