Story
Maverick is a male Husky mixed doggy who is about 3 years old.Unfortunately his owner couldn't care for him anymore so had to surrender him. He's always ready for his next adventure, whether it's a long walk, a hike, or exploring somewhere new with his favorite people.Maverick gets along well with other dogs, so he'd enjoy having a canine companion to play with. He would do best in a home without cats, where he can thrive and let his fun-loving personality shine. If you're looking for an active, loyal companion who's always up for making memories, Maverick is ready to be your adventure buddy. Come meet him and see where your next adventure begins! He is described as a 'Free Spirit'. Intelligent, independent, confident and clever, I prefer making my own decisions but will listen to you if you make a good case. We’re partners in this adventure. Treat me like one and we’ll both live happily ever after. (Internally motivated). It is recommended that whenever you add a new animal to your household, it is done with a slow and monitored introduction. All our animals have been spayed/neutered (or will be arranged if currently too young).Dogs will be tested for heart worms, vaccinated against distemper/parvo and rabies.Cats will be vaccinated against feline distemper and feline parvo, and have been wormed. All animals will be bathed and treated for fleas/ear mites. Microchipping will take place at the time of adoption.Adoption fees:Cats - $105 for one or only              $150 for two!Dogs - $155For more information on this animal contact washingtonpawsandmore1978@gmail.comor call 319-653-6713.For an application to adopt, go to:https://www.pawsandmorewashington.org/adoptIf you cannot currently adopt, donations are ALWAYS welcome  or you can sponsor a specific animal. To Sponsor an animal:Emailwashingtonpawsandmore1978@gmail.comTo donate via our website:Secure Donate Now button at pawsandmorewashington.org Mailing address:PAWS and More1004 1/2 West Madison, Washington, IA 52353319-653-6713.Hours:Tuesday thru Sunday 12 to 4 PMGet directions at:washingtonpawsandmore1978@gmail.com

Story
Boots is a male Husky mixed doggy who is about 1.5 years old.His adoption fee has been waived so with an approved application you can take this doggy home for free! This handsome guy is smart, attentive, and potty trained, and he’s the kind of dog who really wants to be involved in whatever you’re doing. Boots has plenty of energy to burn and would love a family ready to keep his clever mind and active body busy. Whether it’s learning new things, exploring, or simply being your loyal sidekick, Boots is ready to go! He has done great with kids, but probably shouldn't be in a home with cats. He’s got the brains, the energy, and the personality—now he just needs someone to give him a chance. Could Boots be your new adventure buddy? He is described as a 'Busy Bee'. I’m a naturally playful, curious, and trusting canine. Take me for a big walk every day; give me something to do. After my job’s done, I’ll curl up in front of the fire with you in the evenings.
