Story
Meet Gomez, a 13 year old 19 pound Pomeranian.  This sweet guy is looking for his hopefully forever home. Gomez was adopted from Needy Paws as a 5 year old back in 2018 to what he thought was his forever home. But sadly his adopter abandoned him 8 years later as he was found roaming around by himself in a field in Jefferson County and taken to animal control where we happily reclaimed him. His owner was contacted but never reclaimed him.   Gomez is a great dog who has been through a lot, he lost his home, he lost most of his beautiful fluffy hair due to a much-needed grooming, but don’t worry it’s growing back, he’s lost his hearing most likely to old age and he recently lost most of his remaining teeth due to neglect.  He has a few back teeth left and this has not affected his eating.    Gomez is pretty healthy and happy for an old guy, with just the normal aches and pains of an elderly dog due to some arthritis in his legs. He does sometimes have a slight cough due to a slightly softened trachea, but otherwise no other symptoms. He gets along fine, just more slowly than a younger dog. He would do best in a home with few to no stairs and with someone who is home a lot. He’s great with the other small dogs and cats in his foster home. Gomez will need to go to a home with a fenced in yard, no exceptions.   He is potty trained and will let you know when it’s time to go outside to potty.  He does like spending time in the yard just walking around and checking things out so he will need a fence.  Most of all he loves snoozing in his dog bed.    This little man is extremely sweet and deserves to find a home that appreciates all his good qualities. His foster knows his perfect home is out there. Meet Spike!   Spike is a male, 10-week-old large breed husky mix puppy (born on 6/21/26)! He loves to play with his foster siblings and would do well in a home with a companion or by himself. We think that he would do great in a home with kids, but he does like to nibble and will need to be taught his puppy manners. Spike has not been cat tested, but we think with the proper introduction he would be fine! Spike is learning basic commands and manners but will require ongoing training. He is not house trained but will consistently use a potty pad. We are working on crate training, as well. Spike will most likely be 50-75 lbs. when full grown.    Spike loves to chew toys, give kisses, explore, and cuddle. Spike can be a little shy at first, but he's an absolute doll once he feels at home. This handsome young man is Zha.  He is guessed to be a husky (maybe shepherd) mix.   He is 100% good boy.   He is guessed to be approximately 2 years old and 50-55 lbs.  Hr is super dog friendly with all the dogs in his foster home including a 14 lb senior, blind dog.   He prefers to play with the younger energetic dogs.  He has a lot of puppy play in him.   So far he has great house manners.  Appears to be housebroke.
