He was surrendered to the local animal shelter in Jersey City, where he was absolutely terrified. We stepped in to save him, and once he felt safe, his true personality began to shine. Ilya comes out of his shell quickly and reveals the most incredibly sweet, soft soul. He is gentle, quiet, and affectionate — and honestly, he acts like a cat! He loves to curl up, observe the world calmly, and soak in love in the most delicate way. Suspected to be a senior around 7–8 years old, Ilya is past the chaos and just wants comfort, kindness, and a cozy spot to call his own. He is good with other dogs and all people, and his tender nature makes him such an easy companion.
