Story
Angel is a 2-year-old, 7-pound white and cream Pomeranian with a soft, gentle personality and an easygoing nature. She can be a little timid when meeting new people, but she settles in quickly and forms trusting bonds with those around her. Angel is a quiet, low-drama girl who enjoys the comforts of home and appreciates a predictable routine. She is kennel trained, pee pad trained, and is currently learning to potty outside as well. She doesn't particularly love wearing a harness or leash, but she tolerates them and continues to make progress with gentle encouragement. She rides beautifully in the car and has an overall calm demeanor that makes her very easy to live with. Angel is the type of companion who doesn't ask for much—just a loving home, a cozy place to nap, and someone to cherish her. Angel has a Grade 2/6 heart murmur that is not currently causing her any problems. It does not require medication or treatment at this time and simply should be monitored during routine veterinary visits. She has no patellar issues and is fully vetted, including a full exam, spay, dental, vaccinations, deworming, fecal testing, and she is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Angel is located in College Station, TX, and her adoption fee is $650. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com

Story
Say hello to the lovely Luna! Through no fault of her own, this blue-eyed girl is searching for a new family after her beloved owner reached a point where they could no longer care for her. It's a heartbreaking change for everyone involved, but Luna is taking it all in stride, hoping someone will open their heart to a dog who has so much love left to give. Luna is, in many ways, the world's most un-husky husky. She's surprisingly quiet, prefers soaking up affection over causing mischief, and would much rather be curled up beside her favorite person than entertaining herself with toys. If you want a shadow who will faithfully follow you from room to room, Luna is happy to apply for the position. She's lived peacefully with another dog for most of her life and gets along well with other pups. She also shares her home with two cats, whom she politely ignores. She's also wonderful with children, making her an easy fit for many families. Luna comes with all the good-housemate credentials, too: she's house trained, crate trained, and a superstar at the groomer's! She absolutely loves car rides and has perfected the art of being the ultimate passenger princess. Whether you're running errands or heading out on an adventure, she'll happily claim the co-pilot seat. Luna can get a little enthusiastic on her daily walks, so she does best wearing a harness to help keep her comfortable and under control. And while she's a perfect lady indoors, she's been known to test the security of a backyard fence, so she'll need a watchful family who understands her occasional escape-artist tendencies (as any seasoned husky owner knows). What Luna wants more than anything isn't a basket full of toys or endless excitement. She wants a person to love. If you're looking for a loyal, gentle companion with a heart as beautiful as her icy blue eyes, Luna is waiting to show you that sometimes the best husky is the one who writes her own rules.

Story
Hershel is a 3-year-old, 7-pound sable Pomeranian with a gentle personality and a quiet, easygoing nature. He’s a little overweight at the moment and is working toward a healthier weight of about 5 pounds. When he first came into rescue, his coat had some thinning, but with proper nutrition and care, his beautiful sable coat is already growing back in nicely. His thyroid was tested and is completely normal. Hershel can be a bit timid when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly once he realizes he's safe. He has a calm, reserved personality and is the kind of dog who prefers a peaceful environment over constant excitement. Once he settles in, he's a sweet little companion who enjoys being close to his people without demanding attention. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would fit in well with a canine companion, though he'd also be happy soaking up the attention as an only dog. He has not been formally tested with cats, but based on his gentle temperament, we believe he would do well. He also doesn't mind respectful, polite children. Hershel rides well in the car and is currently learning to walk on a harness and leash. He continues to gain confidence every day and would do well with a family willing to encourage him as he adjusts to his new home. Hershel is fully vetted, including a full exam, neuter, dental, vaccinations, microchip, deworming, and fecal testing. He is current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Hershel is located in Houston, TX, and his adoption fee is $650. Apply to adopt at www.tpsrescue.com
