Copper is an 8-10 year old Pomeranian mix that was found as a stray and landed at one of our local shelters. He came to us with a handful of medical issues as a neglected senior dog. His biggest issue was his eyes. Copper had an underdeveloped eye and he was blind in the other one with a painful ulcer or cataract suspected from previous trauma. So both of his eyes were removed. Despite being blind, he's extremely confident, adapts easily, and learns quickly where to potty. He doesn't mind other dogs, but he prefers calmer friends. He loves cuddling with his four year human foster sibling! And while his foster family doesn't own any cats, we believe he would do great with them. Copper doesn't have any aggression, but can be reactive if there is lots of noise happening in an unfamiliar environment. He prefers calm households with predictable routines. He adores cuddling and pets. He deserves a home that will give him the best remaining years!
