Meet Ocean!
Ocean is doing wonderfully in foster care and continues to show just how special she is. She’s already learned to bark and paw at the door when she needs to go outside and settles into her kennel without fuss—though she may need a gentle reminder that the couch isn’t always an option because, let’s be honest, it is pretty comfy.
She rides well in the car, hopping right in on her own. While she may whine a little during drives, she handles outings like a champ and even impressed the vet staff by politely taking treats. Ocean has also met teenagers and, after a brief initial bark, quickly warmed up and became friendly and affectionate once properly introduced.
Ocean is a playful, high-energy pup who would absolutely love a canine playmate. She’s been eager to play with her foster sibling and would thrive with another energetic dog who can keep up with her fun-loving spirit. Leash training is in progress and improving, and with more consistent walks, she’s expected to continue doing great.
Like many young dogs, Ocean can still get a bit jumpy when she’s excited and may “tag” with her front paws while playing. She’s gentle, mouths lightly, and is actively learning good manners with continued positive reinforcement. She’s shown curiosity about counters but no surfing, and she does a great job distinguishing between her toys and people’s belongings.
Ocean will do best in a home with an active family ready to continue training, another playful, energetic dog, slightly older kids who can handle her enthusiasm, and patience and consistency to help her mature into her best self.
Ocean is a truly sweet girl with a loving heart and joyful personality. With continued guidance and time to grow, she’s going to be an amazing addition to a lucky family.
