This pet was brought in as a stray and will NOT be available for adoption through our program. All stray animals brought in are posted on the gallery to hopefully be reunited with their families. Each pet is evaluated upon arrival, and throughout their stay, at the Animal Center and we do our best to place the animal in the setting most appropriate for them. Sometimes, they may be better served through one of our Transfer Partners due to the intervention needed, ongoing care required or a quieter setting for that individual. We want our animals to put their best paw forward. Jalapeña Pupper is a sweet, gentle dog who is much more comfortable with people than with other dogs. During her first playgroup, she seemed nervous and defensive around her playmates, so she may do best as the only pet in the home.With humans, she is very loving. Volunteers say she is calm, kind, and enjoys being around people. She likes going for walks where she can take her time sniffing everything, and she's easy to walk on leash. After a walk, she's happy to relax and enjoy some cuddle time. She also takes treats gently.If you're interested in learning more about her, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Jalapeña Pupper 265912".She is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be spayed prior to going home.
