Story
*****PLEASE READ BEFORE RESPONDING****The pups are adorable and we do expect a lot of interest, so when you are responding we need to application at sparrowdogs.com, any additional information you can provide about your family, dog experience, work hours and such will be very helpful. WE can quickly respond to those emails that provide information will be priority, sorry not the generic forms sent out. Sorry-NO phone calls or texts, we will not be responding, only email. Talk about a couple of little cutie patooties!! Janey(female/tan) and Joey(Male/Black) are bother and sister, and no, they do not need to be adopted together, but that would be great, they sure do love each other! They are supposed to be Chihuahua and Pug mix, although there is a possibility of some Shih Tzu in there...but who really knows. whatever they are, they are adorable and tiny. They are about 11 weeks old right now(10/21/26). They had a great check up at the vet and they are apparently nice and healthy. Joey weighed 3.5 pounds and Janey weighed 3.2 pounds. Both pups are quite active and dare I say athletic at this point-lol. Those tiny legs can really bust a move and scoot them around the yard. They bound up the deck stairs, no problem, and Janey fancies herself a little climber and likes to investigate places she is curious about. We have a fish pond with a little wall around it and that was her first goal to see what was going on in there, she is very curious. Janey and Joey, even at this young age are obviously such smart little pups. They settled into the routine of their foster home pretty quickly and do well in their crate all night long. Believe it or not....they are doing well with housebreaking! Not to say they are 100% or even close at the point, but they are getting the hang of it, they will potty every time they go outside(very frequently for puppies) so that is a very good start. We still have potty pads in the house and they will use them in between outdoor breaks. They will need a family that is just as dedicated to taking them outside and reinforcing the potty training. We are looking for people/families that will not leave them alone for long hours, tiny pups need frequent meals and potty breaks. Sorry, no small children or large dogs. They are active and spunky pups and are looking for an equally active home. The pups have been dewormed, first vaccinations, microchipped and vet checked. They will need to be spayed/neutered when they reach 6-8 months. Delaying the spay and neuter until the pups are a bit older is much healthier for the lifetime of the dog, and recommended. The adoption fee is $500 for each pup with a $200 spay deposit to be refunded upon proof of surgery. Arrangements can be made at through the veterinarian our rescue uses, the deposit will cover the cost of that surgery. Applications at sparrowdogs.com.
