She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, her gentle and affectionate personality starts to shine. Lumi is still learning that people can be comforting and kind, and she’s making wonderful progress. She enjoys being picked up, cuddled, and talked to softly, and she’ll absolutely blossom in a patient, loving home. Lumi is house trained and loves other dogs—she needs a confident dog to show her the ropes in her forever home. At home, she’s a curious companion who loves to follow her person from room to room, making sure she’s part of whatever’s going on. Once Junia feels comfortable, she turns into a total cuddlebug! She gives gentle kisses, loves sitting in laps, and adores morning snuggles on the bed. She’s also become an excellent walking buddy — walks are one of her favorite activities, and she trots along proudly beside you. Because she was under-socialized before rescue, Junia can still startle easily and may bark at strangers or new situations. She isn’t fearful — she just needs a bit of patience and reassurance to build trust. Once she does, her silly, affectionate personality shines through. Junia gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and does great with cats too! She enjoys playing chase and wrestling with her big dog friends, and even engages with her foster’s playful cat (but wisely gives space to the grumpy one). When no one’s up for playtime, she happily entertains herself with toys or zooms around before curling up for a long nap.
