Meet Coco!
Coco is a 6-month-old, 16-pound Shih Tzu and Pug mix who is looking for a patient family to help her confidence blossom. Surrendered when her owner could no longer care for her, this little girl has already undergone surgery to repair a cherry eye and is now seeing the world more clearly and comfortably.
Coco can be nervous and guarded when meeting new people. She needs slow introductions and space to approach at her own pace, as she will nip at strangers who rush interactions or push past her comfort level. A quiet, adult-only home with adopters who respect her boundaries is essential.
Once Coco feels safe, her playful puppy personality shines! She loves racing around the room with a favorite toy, showing off her silly side, and spending time with her people. She becomes very attached to those she trusts and has plenty of affection to share. Coco also gets along well with dogs of all sizes and could enjoy having a canine companion.
Still a puppy, Coco needs consistent, positive training to learn basic commands and build confidence. She has done well with her house manners, and although reluctant, she will go into a crate. Coco is looking for active adults who can offer a calm home while keeping up with her youthful energy and committing to the many years ahead. She will require regular grooming and is not a suitable fit for a tether or invisible fence.
With patience, love, and a family willing to let her blossom at her own pace, Coco has all the makings of a wonderful little companion. Could you be the one to give her a lifetime of love?

OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
