Story
💔 Lola’s Story Isn’t Over Yet 💛 Lola’s journey hasn’t been easy. She was first found tangled in thick brush in Kenagy Park—wounded, exhausted, and covered in painful scabs and scars. It was clear she’d been out there for a while, trying her best just to survive. But even in her roughest moment, Lola had nothing but love in her heart. Thanks to a kind passerby and the KC Dog Trappers, Lola was gently lifted from the bushes and given a safe place to land. In foster care, she began to heal—not just physically, but emotionally, too. She learned that toys are fun, people can be kind, and that regular meals and soft beds aren’t just a dream. Lola was adopted for a little while, but sadly, things didn’t work out—and she’s once again waiting for her forever person. That makes our hearts ache for her, but we know her happy ending is still out there. She’s about 6 years old and 35 pounds—a petite, tri-colored bully mix with expressive eyes and a gentle soul. She kennels well, potties outside, and seems to enjoy the company of other dogs. She hasn’t been cat-tested yet, but she has been thoroughly love-tested—and passed with flying colors. Lola’s not just looking for a home. She’s looking for peace. For someone to tell her, “You’re safe now, and you’re home for good.” Lola is staying in the Kansas City metro, but transport might be available to the right home.
