You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Delmer is a 3 year old Pug, he weighs 23 pounds.   Delmer was found during the recent horrible ice storm.  We got him to the vet as fast as we could.  He is lucky he didn't freeze but he is a strong boy.  Delmer did have whipworms, more than they have ever seen in a dog that small,  he was treated for them and is doing great now. Delmer is a sweet boy and wants to just love on everyone. He will need some work with house training, but he is very smart and will learn fast.  I'm sure you saw in his picture that he has a little underbite.  We think it just makes him cuter, but his teeth were checked and everything is ok. He does well with other dogs and older children. He is potty trained but does need to go out on a regular schedule. He also likes his human to go outside with him for now, as he gets used to having attention! He is crate trained and loves to snuggle. He really needs another dog friend to buddy with. No experience with cats. Archie is neutered, up to date on routine shots, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Archie is fostered in Durham, NC and his adoption fee is $350.00. You must have an adoption application on file on our website to be considered for adoption. ALL pugs must be indoor dogs and kept current on heartworm prevention. Chewy is quite a character! Found dumped in a cage on the side of the road, he got lucky when a volunteer found him. He had nostril surgery to help him breathe easier, and he's recovering well. He'll need eye ointment for the rest of his life but he doesn't mind at all. Otherwise, he's healthy, happy and ready for his next adventure!
