This sweet little girl (possibly a Puggle mix) was found dumped on a property in Piketon, along with a male pup. She is 16 pounds and full grown. We are calling her Trixie.When she was first found, she was skin and bones . Since then, she has been treated for worms and fleas, and shell be spayed as soon as she gains a little more weight. She is fully vaccinated and has been seen by the vet.Trixie is doing great with other dogs, learning to play with toys and is less stressed about food each day. She knows there is plenty to go around. Trixie loves to sleep by your feet, take a few runs around the yard and is starting to play with toys. Shed be a great companion for someone seeking a calmer, more cuddly friend. You can apply to meet her ricopetrecovery.orgAdoption fee is $250. It covers vaccines, spay and microchip.

Meet Bula!! 🐶😂 Bula rolled into the shelter as a stray on 1/14/26 with her buddy Pudge, and we think she’s about 3 years old. This girl is built like a tiny tank—solid, sturdy, and low to the ground with those short little legs that mean business. She may not be fast, but she is powerful. Bula is a full-on character. She’s still suspicious of leashes and doorways (clearly portals to another dimension), so she needed to be carried part of the time. No complaints from her though—because Bula is 100% convinced she is a lap dog, despite all evidence to the contrary. She likes toys and will happily play fetch… and yes, she actually brings it back! She’s also very motivated by treats, especially hot dogs, which she believes are the highest form of currency. If you’re looking for a hilarious, stocky, affectionate girl with a big personality packed into a short, tank-like body, Bula is your match. Meet Pudge!! 👑🐶 Pudge came in as a stray on 1/14/26 with her partner in crime, Bula, and we think she’s about 4 years old. Pudge is a very pretty girl and—make no mistake—she absolutely knows it. This is not a dog, this is royalty. Pudge fully expects to be treated like the queen she believes she is. Scratches are required. Once you start petting her, stopping is not part of the agreement. She will politely (but persistently) remind you with little hand nibbles, so future servants should be aware of this royal quirk. She will chase toys if you insist, but let’s be honest—she would much rather be adored, admired, and scratched like the majestic creature she is. Pudge’s love language is attention, and she gives big, sweet affection right back. If you’re looking for a confident, sassy, scratch-loving girl who rules with charm instead of force, Pudge is ready to take her throne in your home.
