Story
Please, read this post in its entirety. In your response and inquiry, please acknowledge that you have done so and provide the requested information. Your acknowledgment serves as your preliminary application for consideration. I appreciate your understanding. Meet Fritz-Not-So-Fat,17 pound a 10-year-old Pug mix with a story to tell. Some elderly people think that love equals food. He started out at 30 pounds. Now down to 1. To maintain his ideal weight with continued daily walks and to continue his routine of exercise and good diet. And oh my, his breath was bad. He smelled like a sewer plant! 16 extracted teeth later, his breath is minty fresh. His two tusks remain. Again, Love is more than food and stuffing his face. It is proper medical care that he did not have. He is a happy boy who gets on well with his foster brothers and sisters of all sizes and temperaments. He has a slightly collapsed trachea and is deaf. He has a few lumps, but his recent vet visit revealed no concerns. He sure loves to snuggle, and despite his girth, can leap on the couch with the best of them. He loves a car ride and chooses his toys carefully. He prefers to eat at a different table from his foster-ma.tes. He leaps with gusto onto your lap or belly if you recline on the sofa or armchair. Tell us about you, your family, your activities, your property, the city you live in, other pets in your home, and whatever else puts you on top. The more information about you, the better. What can this companion expect from you, and what are your expectations of him/her? Additionally, we will not meet halfway. You must prepare to meet in person without hurry, and be willing to have a home evaluation and viewing of your social media. There is a fee for placement to offset medical and care. Age-appropriate placement is at the discretion of the guardian advocate. Please allow several or more days for a response, as I review inquiries. I appreciate your understanding- Raleigh's Rescue Advocacy. *DNA testing is not performed, and we can only give you an assumed breed or breed mix. Attaced is his Before and after diet photos.

Story
Please read this post in its entirety. Please acknowledge that you have done so. Your response serves as your preliminary application. Please provide the requested information. I cannot stress that enough. I need more than "I want a dog, live in a house, and will love her". Gizzel is an adult dog- I suspect to be about 9 years old. She was a stray. Although microchipped, the attached owner indicated they gave her away. That information was provided; however, they never responded to me or our local animal shelter. Now she is ready to find a new loving home. She has been in a loving foster home for over a month and is scheduled for her spay appointment on December 18th. At her Dec 1st appointment, she was found to have a heart murmur. Because of her breed mix, she does not appear or display any of the brachycephalic issues of this type of smooched-face breeds. Gizzel is a presumed Boston Terrier/dachshund mix- aka Bo-Dach. She weighs in at 15 pounds- long and solid. This sweet low-rider has wonderful potty manners, is quiet and sometimes a bit aloof. I've never heard her bark. She gets on well with her foster mates, is loving and so very well mannered; however, she does like to hike herself up onto the desk to peek out of the windows. She has not yet engaged with toys. But I am always reminded about a dog I had, an Aussie mix who had no desire to play with toys, fetch a ball or anything else. Until one day, 2 years later, he had an enlightenment. I tossed the ball, and that was that! He would chase and fetch until he dropped. I am hopeful she will have a diving enlightenment as well. Gizzel enjoys leash walks and car rides and would be thrilled to jump under your covers.
