Story
Lily the Chug Are you looking for a small bundle of energy full of love, antics, & sass to liven up your home? Then look no farther than Lily the chug (3/4 pug, 1/4 chihuahua with a whole lotta chi attitude)! This long legged, grumpy faced little minx has adorable ears that either stand up at attention or rest crossed atop her head. Her overbite, often with her lip stuck on her teefers gives her adorable expressions. Lily has no enemies, loving to play-play-play with dogs & people of all ages & sizes. At her foster mom’s house, she cavorts with a 90# Great Pyrenees as much as she does with a pair of pugs. She’d also like to play with the cats, but she is too hyper for them & gets swatted. Lily does calm down to cuddle & actively seeks attention. Lily was a neglected outdoor pup until her surrender to God’s Dogs Rescue, so is still working on her housebreaking. She almost has it down pat with use of a doggy door. You will never experience a dull moment with this petite cutie in your life! Attributes: Housebreaking in progress. Good with doggie door HIGH energy Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Joey is a 10 month old male Puggle (pug x beagle) who is looking for an active but patient home in which he can thrive. Joey weighs in at approximately 22 pounds and is pretty much full grown. Joey found himself displaced due to various health and other issues in the home. Puggles can be very active little dogs, and he is no exception. When it became too hard to make sure all his needs were being met, his caretaker did the right thing by reaching out for a more appropriate placement. Joey is such a good boy - he bonds strongly with people, and while he can take a moment to warm up, once he thinks you are ALLLLLLRIGHT! than you are one of his folks. Joey has lived with other dogs but was described as being `annoying` to them. Since he is a puppy still, it`s likely that some of that came from being a puppy, and to adult dogs, puppies are almost always `brats`! Puggles can also be pretty non stop when it comes to playing and daily life - they`re full of busy activity! This means he would do best with a dog who is close to him in age as well as of a similar energy level. Meet and greet will be absolutely required! He has been around kids of different ages and has done well with them, but as with other dogs, meet and greet is required. He hasn`t lived with cats, but has shown a willingness to chase them mercilessly when he sees them outside - which isn`t abnormal for almost any dog. Things change in the outdoors! We think he can be worked with in the home to behave with cats who are used to dogs in the home. Joey was mostly house trained in his former home, but did have issues with marking in the house. He has since been very recently neutered, and we are hoping that the surgery, along with some remedial House Training 101, will prove that Joey knows better and knows that outdoors in the place to go. He will need to be crated when left alone in the home, no exceptions, until he learns. The alternative is pee squirts around your entire house and nobody wants that. Joey can ride in the car without getting sick, but the whole practice makes him a bit anxious, so if you travel a lot, it may take him a little time to relax into it. We definitely cannot guarantee that he is ever going to be a spectacular ride along partner! He loves water but isn`t a huge one for toys - until maybe his new family can finally find THE ONE TOY that he has been waiting for his whole life! Some dogs do learn to play with toys as time goes on, and Joey mi

Story
Meet Sandy Sandy is a precious Boxer/Pug mix with the sweetest, most sincere eyes—and there’s something about this little girl that makes you want to slow down and get to know her. Almost four months old and weighing 18 pounds, Sandy has a gentle, somewhat timid personality that gives her the feeling of a little old soul. She may be a bit demure at first, but once she feels comfortable, her affectionate and playful side begins to shine. She gets along well with people of all ages and enjoys the company of other dogs. Sandy is doing well with her house-training and has already learned that her crate is a safe and comfortable place. She happily walks right in and sleeps through the night. She’s also discovering that good things happen when you sit pretty—especially when treats are involved! And when Sandy wants something, she has a very sweet way of letting you know. Sometimes it’s simply that soft look in her eyes asking for a hug or a spot beside you on the couch. She’s still figuring out this leash-walking business, but she loves running and playing in the yard and is perfectly content to sit on the porch and enjoy some fresh air. Sandy doesn't need to be the center of attention. She just needs someone willing to give her a little time, a little patience, and a whole lot of love. In return, she has every potential to become that incredibly loyal companion who quietly steals your heart. Sandy has not been cat-tested. Who will be the lucky person who gets to watch this sweet little girl grow into her forever self? ##2819769##
