Yes, on a kid-by-kid basis.Could he do well with other dogs? Yes, on a dog-by-dog basis.Has this dog lived with cats? Unknown. [The Lycoming County SPCA does not “cat test” dogs per the Association of Shelter Veterinarian’s Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters.]---Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Couscous is an energetic young dog who loved exploring the shelter grounds. He walked well on a leash but was hesitant to return indoors. Once inside, he enjoyed investigating the room and responded well to husbandry handling, coming when called. He had little interest in the food offered to him. He remained stable around everyday objects and sudden sounds. He enjoyed playtime but seemed confused when engaged directly. He became more enthusiastic when toys were introduced, though he didn’t know how to play with them.Couscous initially jumped on our stranger and had a tense but appropriate body posture during his dog introduction. But he improved in both circumstances and both interactions ended positively.---For more resources to help with any step of your adoption journey go to: https://go.petadoptiongateway.com/LycomingDT
