Story
Chicken Noodle Boop is a very special dog with special needs. She was used as a breeder despite her physical issues. When she arrived in rescued we took her to Animal Welfare and Rehabilitation Center to diagnose her inability to stand and her "wobbliness". They found that she had lesions on her C1 and C5 and recommended monthly acupuncture and some medications. She has been on this regiment for a few months and is doing great. Here is what her foster says her typical schedule looks like: She is woken up around 6am for her first meal & then drinks some water & goes back to bed under her blanket in her playpen where she sleeps the majority of the day while we're at work. We come home & clean up any pee or poop from the day & give her water. Then we'll make her dinner & she'll hang out with us and watch TV for the evening on the sofa. If she starts licking her lips, she is typically thirsty (or hungry). If she starts getting wiggly for no reason, she likely needs to use the bathroom which she does in her playpen. She will likely not be able to be potty trained as she has a bathroom dance. She gets on her side & pulls her back legs into her belly & then does the bicycle move to help her pee or poop. Dr Sangid wants her to have acupuncture monthly. She is taking herbs. She is given miralax a couple times a week to help her poop. She loves to get little doggy massages & cuddling next to her person when it's tv time. She enjoys sitting outside on a nice day. She likes the whipped cream treat at Starbucks. She loves to burrow under her blanket in her playpen to sleep. She has C1 & C5 lesions, but is now able to hold her head still. She can also sit herself up on one elbow. Chicken Noodle Boop is extremely loving and would enjoy living in any household. We do not think she will ever be able to walk or use a wheelchair so an apartment would be sufficient for her. We recommend a Knoxville adopter or someone else who has access to a vet who can perform acupuncture.

Story
Meet Tito Nash! This handsome hunk is a 5-year-old Boston Terrier/ Aussie mix male. He was part of an accidental litter. His human kept him and his siblings happy and healthy the last 5 years. Due to having to move short notice all of them ended up at the shelter. They have been around children, dogs and cats and have not had any issues. They are learning to walk on a leash, they lived on a farm where they were inside until potty time and just let out the back door. Tito has the cutest butt wags when he gets excited. His adoption fee is 86.00 cash only. To adopt him please call 865-458-5593!
