Every day is “the best day ever” in Mr. Pickles’ world, and he greets life with joyful bursts of spazzy excitement, nonstop wiggles, and plenty of goofy charm. Mr. Pickles greatest loves? Squeaky toys—the louder and more annoying, the better. Whether he’s zooming around the room at lightning speed, proudly parading his latest squeaky toy or collapsing into a snuggly nap after conquering his kingdom, he makes even ordinary moments feel like an adventure. He’d thrive in a home ready for fun, structure, and lots of engagement — someone who appreciates his mix of chaos, charm, and cuddle potential. A yard to explore? Dreamy. Welcome Nutz to CCPAL Rescue. Nutz is a 3-year-old Chug (Chihuahua/Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He is a quieter dog and likes to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that is more quiet and wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200.
