Story
Pip is an adorable bundle of cuteness! He is a perfect combination of . . . what? We're not sure but are guessing beagle, Frenchie, and/or pug. He's a perfect size, not too big, not too small, and with just enough of a smoosh face to make him irresistibly kissable -- one look and you will fall in love! Pip (even his name is adorable!) is good with dogs and good with kids. He's already learned sit, shake, drop it, and down. He is doing very well with his house training and is crate trained. He loves toys and loves to play fetch. Pip would love a playful doggy companion, but would probably be fine as an only dog as long as he got lots of play time and snuggle time. Story
Max is a handsome 14 year old 12 pound Chihuahua Pug mix. Max has a big personality. He's social, playful, and opinionated. Max gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home, but can be snappish over treats. His BFF is Jill, a 14 year old 8 pound Chihuahua who has been with Max his entire life. We'd love to see them get adopted together. Both are altered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative.

Story
Pancake arrived from a Virginia Beach Animal Shelter. She’s been through a lot in the past couple months including soft palate surgery and kidney stones. She has since recovered and has been out on special food and hasn’t had an issue since. Pancake is very sweet and loving, but she prefers to be the center of your world. She is a cuddler and her best self when she’s in the presence of her human. Pancake does not like children, cats, and is dog selective. She would thrive as an only dog or with a very experienced handler. She is very compact in size, only weighing a whopping 35 pounds. Her tongue has a personality of its own :) Pancake would be ideal for a couple or a single person looking for companionship. If you think pancake is the pup for you…please submit an application https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/66b189c45d6f9afa2c07afb8/6a30663ffc2fe012cd025a54

Story
Chex is definitely a work in progress. He came from being completely neglected physically with health issues that went on far too long! Now that he has made it to rescue all of these issues are being addressed and he is just about ready to start his new life! Chex is a micro American Bully, very low to the ground and stocky build. If you know anything about this breed you will know how loving and loyal they are to their people. Chex is true to these qualities and adopting him means you will be getting yourself a lifelong friend. Here's what we have learned about Chex: * Chex is not good with other dogs. He will tolerate them as long as they are passing by and don't stop to say hello. He enjoys his space and doesn't like to share it. He has been fostered with other dogs under strict supervision. For everyone's safety, we recommend no other dogs. *Chex has not been tested with cats but seems to ignore them. He would need a slow introduction. *Chex is crate trained. He doesn't mind relaxing in his own space and appreciates the privacy here and there. But he much prefers to be out with his human(s). *Chex seems to be a fan of children of all ages. What is left of his tail is always wagging whenever he is in their company! *Chex will need ongoing maintenance care as far as his ears and skin goes. He is struggling with an ear infection right now and will need his new family to keep them clean from debris and wax build up. He will need a bulldog friendly diet (avoiding chicken) and fish-based foods to help with his skin. He will also benefit greatly from oatmeal baths. * He LOVES a comfortable bed. He sleeps most of the day and prefers to have a cushioned bed to lay on while being right next to you. *Because his feet and paw pads are deformed from poor breeding, he does not like to go on walks. He keeps his walks very brief and short before he is ready to come back in. *Chex is very food motivated and will never leave a kibble behind. He LOVES treats, chew treats, and maybe a tiny bite of what you're having! Be careful with toys, he has been caught trying to eat those too. The boy loves his meals! If you would like to give Chex a better life, please submit an application! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/66b189c45d6f9afa2c07afb8/6a3478b50f9529c259009155
