Story
Pip is an adorable bundle of cuteness! He is a perfect combination of . . . what? We're not sure but are guessing beagle, Frenchie, and/or pug. He's a perfect size, not too big, not too small, and with just enough of a smoosh face to make him irresistibly kissable -- one look and you will fall in love! Pip (even his name is adorable!) is good with dogs and good with kids. He's already learned sit, shake, drop it, and down. He is doing very well with his house training and is crate trained. He loves toys and loves to play fetch. Pip would love a playful doggy companion, but would probably be fine as an only dog as long as he got lots of play time and snuggle time. Story
Max is a handsome 14 year old 12 pound Chihuahua Pug mix. Max has a big personality. He's social, playful, and opinionated. Max gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home, but can be snappish over treats. Max can also be snappish and insecure until he is confident with a new person. His BFF is Jill, a 14 year old 8 pound Chihuahua who has been with Max his entire life. We'd love to see them get adopted together. Both are altered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative.

Story
Meet Sinatra ⭐ Named after his favorite rapper, this sweet boy is now accepting applications for his new forever home! Despite how young his is, Sinatra has had it rough. Thankfully, with love, care and inspiration, he's thriving and isn't showing signs of slowing down.💪 💕 Sinatra would do best in a household with people to give unconditional love to, people who respect his preference in food and a family that will care for him no matter what.🫂 Why Adopt Sinatra? 1. He's a bit lonely in the shelter 🥺 2. He needs a cuddly friend (of course that friend would need to have a blanket to share) 🥰 3. He's a "Dreamy" little pup 🤩 4. He'd probably sing for you🎤 5. BECAUSE HE'S CUTE 😍 So why wait??? Come down to the Humane Society of Charles County and adopt him now 🐾

Story
Isabella is an adorable 8-month-old sweetheart who's ready to find a family to call her own! This lovable girl has never met a stranger—she's incredibly friendly, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is always happy to make new friends. Isabella is learning what it’s like to be in an home for the first time is a young puppy at heart. She's discovering all the fun (and rules!) that come with being part of a family, so she'll need a little patience and guidance as she continues to learn. Her playful puppy personality shines through, and she's eager to explore the world by your side. She does have a Grade 4 heart murmur, but that doesn't stop her from sharing endless love and affection. She's looking for a compassionate adopter who will cherish her for the wonderful dog she is and help her continue to thrive. If you're looking for a sweet, social, and lovable companion with a heart as big as her personality, this precious girl could be the perfect addition to your family. As a puppy, I am required to go to training within 90 days of my adoption with a certified trainer. ********************************************************************* Schedule a meet-and-greet by completing our Adoption Survey on the Adopt page of our website at https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org/adoption-survey. Story
Pancake arrived from a Virginia Beach Animal Shelter. She’s been through a lot in the past couple months including soft palate surgery and kidney stones. She has since recovered and has been out on special food and hasn’t had an issue since. Pancake is very sweet and loving, but she prefers to be the center of your world. She is a cuddler and her best self when she’s in the presence of her human. Pancake does not like children, cats, and is dog selective. She would thrive as an only dog or with a very experienced handler. She is very compact in size, only weighing a whopping 35 pounds. Her tongue has a personality of its own :) Pancake would be ideal for a couple or a single person looking for companionship. If you think pancake is the pup for you…please submit an application https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/66b189c45d6f9afa2c07afb8/6a30663ffc2fe012cd025a54

Story
Georgie has quickly won us over with her loving nature and loyalty to her person. She is definitely a rescue favorite and she deserves the best life possible. She came to us from a North Carolina Shelter with a few scars, ear infection, and heartworm positive. She is currently being treated for heartworms and we are hoping to place her in a long term foster (that leads to adoption) home while she’s being treated. What we know about her so far… She gets along better with male dogs that are her size. She is not a fan of female dogs. She does like to play with them until she’s worn out (which doesn’t take much). She has been around kittens, but not adult cats. A test can be done upon request. Georgie loves to sleep right next to you. She doesn’t mind kids being around. She is pretty much everyone’s friend, but we do recommend her with older children because she might push over little ones. Georgie is a compact girl who packs a big personality. She is an amazing companion, and we truly can’t believe anyone would want to part with her.
