Story
Meet Cricket! Cricket is approximately 6-8 years old and is thought to be a possible Boston Terrier/Pitbull type mix. We cannot know for sure without a DNA test, but she's a teeny little 26 lb girl who's looking for a new forever home!Unfortunately, Cricket came to us as a stray and was not claimed by her family, so we don't know what her life was like prior to being found. That being said, she had quite a bit of care neglected, so we're doing everything we can to make sure she's happier & healthier moving forward! She came in suffering with severe dental disease, so she will be having a dental prior to adoption where she will likely have several extractions. She's going to feel so much better!Cricket was immediately sweet with us. She's treat motivated and you will have her undivided attention if you've got snacks. She will perform tricks and basic commands, and is likely willing to learn lots more! She is good with other dogs and would likely do well with cats & children as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised. She absolutely adores being close to her favorite people, so she would love a family who includes their dogs in every day life. She also loves her dog bed and will snooze the day away until the action starts!Cricket appears to be potty trained as she keeps her kennel clean, but we recommend a refresher course just so that she can get used to the new routine. With all of the unknowns that come with unclaimed strays, her family should be ready and willing to learn as they go with her. She will come immediately with a heart of gold and an affectionate temperament! If you'd like to meet Cricket, follow the link below. We are doing all meet n' greets BY APPOINTMENT ONLY after an adoption application has been generally approved:https://monroecountydogshelter.com/apply-adopt.htmlCricket is spayed and current on vaccines, and will have her dental completed prior to adoption. Her adoption fee is $200
