Story
Name: SnackBreed: Chihuahua mixSex/Age/Weight: Male/estimated DOB 09/2024/ about 10 poundsVetting: Up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and on preventatives House trained/Crate Trained: Working on house training; needs to be placed in crate at night but he settles down in a few minutes and sleeps through the night.Dogs/Cats/Children: Lives with other dogs; there are cats in another room, but when we’ve walked him through, he ignores them; no childrenEnergy Level: Energetic puppy, but he’ll settle and sit next to his foster mom after a bit of roughhousing with our resident dog. Before FAR/My History: Unknown except he lived with A LOT of dogs.Working on: House training, walking on leash, and knowing his nameThings I like: Playing with his brothers (foster and biological)Things I don’t like: Loud noisesThings that make my humans happy: Snack and his brother sure are cute!Ideal Family/Home: We’d love it if he and his brother Pinto were adopted together, but that’s not a requirement. Having a friendly resident dog would be ideal, so he learns how to be a dog.Special Notes: Snack and his brother Pinto are blind, but they really don’t let that get in their way. They use the steps to get on and off the bed several times a day. They wrestle and play like sighted puppies, but they’re more tactile and miss visual cues. Snack is more outgoing and initiates play.If you are interested in giving Snack a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. Story
Name: FionaBreed: MiniPin mixSex/Age/Weight: Female/ estimated DOB 09/2022 /12 lbsVetting: Vaccines UTD, Rabies UTD, Heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayedHouse trained/Crate Trained: I am house trained and crate trained. I know how to use a puppy pad if it is raining outside. Dogs/Cats/Children: Dogs, yes. I have not been observed around cats or children, but I can be tested upon request. Energy Level: I love to play with the other dogs in my foster home. I love to walk outside. I do bark when I see other people/animals when outside or looking outside. Before FAR/My History: I was found as a stray by the local animal control. The rescue was kind enough to pull me and take me under their care.Training Status/Commands I know: I am very stubborn and don’t always like to listen to my foster mom, however I know sit, come and stop.Things I don’t like: I don’t like sudden moves or loud noises. I can still be very skittish and I am very slow to warm up to new people. I think being a stray didn’t help with me being skittish.Ideal Family/Home: The ideal home would be a local home to Macon, where I can possibly spend a couple of weekends with my new family (trial period) so I can get to know you and feel comfortable. But I do become attached to my human once I get to know them.If you are interested in giving Fiona a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer.
