Story
Noah is a 2–3-year-old dog now safe in Tampa Bay after being found on the street, dragging his back legs. No one knows exactly what happened to him, but he has some permanent weakness in his hind legs and minor incontinence—yet he remains a gentle, affectionate soul full of life and joy. He gets around independently for shorter distances and uses a wheelchair for longer outings, which allows him to enjoy exploring outside. Noah loves feeling the sun on his face and gets along well with dogs, cats, and people. Despite his challenges, he stays happy and comfortable with basic care like regular yard potty breaks. He would do best in a home with minimal stairs, a fenced yard, and easy-to-clean floors to support his mobility. Noah doesn't let anything hold him back—he just needs a family who appreciates his sweetness, resilience, and big heart. For someone looking beyond the physical limitations, Noah offers quiet companionship, warmth, and proof that love and spirit can overcome a lot. He is fully vetted and ready for a loving home where he can simply be himself.   ##2267891##

Story
PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING! 🐾 Meet Loko 🐾 aka "Lover Boy" (foster mom's nickname) This fluffy Shih Tzu / Poodle mix boy is a certified VELCRO dog. The second his foster mom walks through the door, he's bouncing around with excitement, ready to be wherever she is. His favorite place in the world is curled up in someone's lap. :) He's the type of dog who doesn't hand out his trust to every stranger that walks by. He likes to take a minute, observe, and decide you're okay before asking for pets. But once you've earned your spot? Good luck ever going to the bathroom alone again. Loko thrives with confident leadership and clear expectations. He's incredibly smart, eager to please, and highly food motivated, making him a fun dog to train. He's simply looking for someone who will help him feel secure by being calm, consistent, and confident. Once he's comfortable, his goofy, affectionate personality shines. ✅ GREEN FLAGS ✔️ Potty trained, crate trained (sleeps through the night), and has excellent house manners. ✔️ Extremely affectionate, loves to cuddle, and is the ultimate velcro dog. ✔️ Great with dogs of all sizes- he LOVES to wrestle with playful dogs but also respects dogs that prefer their space. (He is besties with foster mom's German Shepherd) ✔️ Great with cats; he just ignores them (although he'd happily sample their food if given the opportunity!). ✔️ Doesn't shed, is wonderful with baths, loves toys, and doesn't destroy furniture. 🚩 THINGS TO KNOW ✔️ Adult-only home required- NO children. ✔️ Needs a little time to warm up to new people. Let him approach first. ✔️ Doesn't enjoy being scolded. ✔️ Pulls on leash, may bark at neighboring dogs (but stops when told and his recall is phenomenal), and occasionally chews random household items if left on the floor. ✔️ May whine briefly when left alone but settles down quickly. 🏡 LOKO'S IDEAL HOME ✔️ A calm, low-key household with someone who works from home or is retired. ✔️ A CONFIDENT owner who can provide structure, consistency, and LEADERSHIP. ✔️ A securely fenced yard and, ideally, ANOTHER PLAYFUL DOG who enjoys wrestling. Loko isn't difficult. He's thoughtful. He wants to know he's safe before opening his heart, but once he does, you'll have a loyal best friend who wants nothing more than to be by your side every chance he gets. A little note from my foster: Loko's charm and loving nature make him absolutely irresistible. He’s going to make a truly amazing companion for someone. 🐶✨🐾 Adoption FEE: $600, which includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals.
