Story
I am in dire straits. My dad suffered a stroke recently and has been in rehab the past month. He has been the primary caregiver for my mom. Unfortunately, he has not recovered to the level that he was at prior to the stroke. This has necessitated the decision to move them immediately into assisted living. They are relocating to a senior living facility this Friday (April 24). They have a sweet dog named Molly who is a black whoodle. Unfortunately, they cannot take her with them, and no one in the family is able to take Molly. Having been raised by people in their 80s, Molly is a timid, loving dog. She was born on December 6, 2018. We must place Molly somewhere by Monday, April 27. We are returning to Dallas the next day, and we cannot take her with us. We desperately do not want to euthanize her. She is a healthy dog who has several more good years ahead of her. We are praying that we can rehome her. Can you please help us?

Story
Kayvee is the definition of a gentle, loving soul! She truly lives to love and to please her person. Kayvee is a quick learner, and she does a cute ballerina dance when she wants to be picked up. She loves her squeaky toys and going outside to chase squirrels. She does well on a leash for walks. She is okay with a crate, but prefers to sit on foster mom's lap. Her favorite place to sleep is in the human bed where she feels safe. Other dogs: She coexists nicely with other small dogs and tends to do her own thing, though she does enjoy a little “chat” with the neighbor’s dog through the fence. Children: Slow to warm up to children, and is learning that little human visits can be safe. Adults: Kayvee is slow to warm up to strangers, and she is working on becoming accustomed to men. Potty Training Progress: Kayvee is house-trained and is working on defined signaling. Other things to know about HHR Kayvee: Kayvee would do best in a quiet home with small dogs and the adopter is home more than not. Large crowds and children make her nervous, so a home without children would be best.
