Story

> If I had to pick one word to describe Booker, it would be resilient. At just 8 years old and 11 pounds, he’s a Yorkie/Poodle mix who was found on the side of the road in a quiet ruraL of Middle Tennessee. He was rescued on one of the hottest days of summer, and when he was found his fur was so horribly matted, that he had to be shaved down to the skin by the vet tech who is NOT a groomer. She did the best she could do. Now he is starting fresh and slowly he is growing out and his fur is now a beautiful white. From the moment he arrived, Booker won over the whole foster family. He loves to be close to his people and is incredibly affectionate. He gets excited about everything! His love for life and his courage is just incredible to watch. This boy loves everyone and every creature he meets. He is also very good with dogs of all sizes and is great with kids, too. > Walking on a leash is still a work in progress, but he has come a long way. With some more time and practice, he will be a great dog to take on walks. He also enjoys playing in the backyard, chasing butterflies just like Dolly Parton. Booker is crate-trained or will happily sleep beside you in the bed all night. He can spend all day resting next to you without any complaints or making any sound. He is truly one of the easiest fur babies ever! If you are interested in this sweet Yorkie/Poodle mix boy who was treated poorly and thrown outside for some horrible reason, just know that he has risen from the ashes like a Phoenix full of hope and courage. Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested PLEASE NOTE: Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted. Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site. The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive. Story

Please contact Candace (ccrnewengland@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Jessica is our beautiful two toned Cavapoo sweetheart who is young and vibrant and a little shy when she first meets new people. At just 8 pounds and 2 years of age this girl is ready for some stability and love in her life. She is living with many other rescued pups in her foster home after being handed out twice from her original owner. Her first owner was not stable and could not afford vetting nor grooming costs. She is currently doing well just being a part of a pack of other small dogs. She came to us pretty matted and required a total shave down to start her on a new and prettier coat again. Jessica is not good on a leash but trying to get the hang of it and she will crate when needed, but she hates being in one. She is an easy girl to have around and is very much pee pad trained and learning more about an outside housebreaking schedule. When it comes to social skills, she is a little shy at first but warms up really fast if you just go slow with her. She loves to be with her people that she trusts and knows and your lap for some TV and cuddle time would be her greatest joy for the day. Critter Cavalry Rescue would love to send your application if you wish to adopt her. Just email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com We transport every weekend from Nashville, TN to the northeastern corridor of states. September 30, 2026, 9:06 pm

Story

Meet Sweet Serenity! You’d be hard-pressed to find a dog sweeter than Serenity. She truly lives up to her name with her gentle and loving nature. It’s heartbreaking to think that anyone could have neglected such a precious soul. Serenity is a petite 4-year-old, weighing just 11 lbs. She was found wandering as a stray north of Nashville, but even after her profile was shared on every lost-and-found pet site, no one stepped forward for her. One possible reason is an old injury to her right front leg—a break above the joint between her foot and leg that never healed quite right. While her foot now lacks proper support for walking, the injury isn’t painful and doesn’t seem to slow her down. Serenity often shifts her weight to her other legs and has become an expert at the charming Maltese trick of dancing on her hind legs. Serenity is guaranteed to make you smile—she’s a true trooper with a resilient spirit. She gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and is also friendly with cats. This little lady is an excellent car rider and will be a delightful companion for any outing. Her irresistible charm is sure to help you make plenty of new friends wherever you go. If you’re searching for the perfect little canine companion, Serenity is the one. She’s up to date on all her vaccines, heartworm negative, and spayed. To learn more about making Serenity part of your family, please email Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com or text 615-943-7311. Don’t wait—this sweet girl is sure to find her forever home quickly.
