Story
Brock is a dog with a true zest for life and a deep love for the great outdoors! At approximately 2 years old and 26 lbs, this stunning poodle–wheaten mix (our best guess!) has a gorgeous, soft coat and an equally beautiful spirit. He’s remarkably adaptable—currently adjusting wonderfully to the snow and cold in his foster home in Mount Albert, Ontario—embracing every new experience with a positive attitude.
Brock is a quiet boy who only vocalizes when he truly needs to communicate. His naturally calm demeanour makes him an easy, relaxed housemate. He is fully house-trained and a delight on walks, enjoying leisurely strolls where he politely pauses for sniffs and friendly greetings with both humans and dogs. He loves exploring the outdoors and would do best in a home with an easily accessible yard.
His ideal day is a perfect balance of play and rest. Brock happily entertains himself with his favourite toys and then settles in for refreshing naps throughout the day. When evening comes, he transforms into the ultimate cuddle companion—he loves sleeping with his foster mom and is an exceptional “spooner,” a true testament to his affectionate nature.
Brock is also an eager learner. Highly motivated by treats and praise, he responds beautifully to positive reinforcement and is quickly picking up new commands (and the English language!) as he practices his manners. He’s low-shedding and was a perfect gentleman during his recent grooming session.
Brock’s journey to this new life makes him even more special. Found in Mexico severely neglected, with skin sores and heavily matted fur, he proved from day one that he’s a fighter. With time, care, and compassion, he has fully blossomed into a loving, grateful, and resilient dog ready for a fresh start.
Brock is now ready for his forever home—whether as your one-and-only or a new furry sibling. If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate, and adaptable companion who will join you on adventures and fill your home with warmth, Brock might just be the one!
