Hi there, my name is Nolan! I am a 7-year-old male mini poodle. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, microchipped, and soon to be neutered. 3 words that describe me: Shy, Gentle, Mellow Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I am originally from a breeder who is no longer in business. Due to my rough beginning I can be very shy with new people and situations. I will need an owner who is willing to go slow and at my pace. I don't really know how to be a dog, so I'll need help with that! Even while being terrified I have been the sweetest boy with staff and volunteers. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 2/10 Housetraining Status: I am working on it. A consistent schedule with lots of praise will help me learn! I should do well in a home: While I'd absolutely love if I was adopted with my buddy Teddy, it is not required. I am just required to go to a home with another dog. Any children in my potential home will need to be 5 years or older to ensure my boundaries are respected. My friends at CRHS are unsure how I'd do with cats. My favorite activities are: Cuddling with Teddy and relaxing in a nice, calm environment Things I need work on are: I've had a rough life and don't really know how to be a dog! As such I'll need to work on building confidence, housetraining, walking on leash, and basic commands. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, microchipped, and soon to be neutered. 3 words that describe me: Shy, Playful, Guardian Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I am originally from a breeder who is no longer in business. Due to my rough beginning I can be very shy with new people and situations. I have learned that I LOVE squeaky toys, but I'm still working on learning how to be a dog. I see myself as Nolan's guardian, I will lay on him to shield him from the scariness of the world. We would love to go to a home together, but it's not required. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 4/10 Housetraining Status: I am working on it. A consistent schedule with lots of praise will help me learn! I should do well in a home: I should do well with children of all ages given slow introductions and supervision. I would absolutely LOVE to be adopted with my buddy Nolan, but it's not required. Hello, I am Lacey. I am a 5 and a half year old Miniature Poodle/King Charles Spaniel Mix. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, soon to be spayed, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Gentle, Curious, Cuddly Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I'm originally from a breeder who is no longer in business. Due to my rough start in life, when I first came into the shelter I was very nervous. While I still can be, I am definitely starting to come out of my shell. I LOVE being with my humans and I will ask for attention when I want it. My favorite place is my human's lap. I will need an owner who is willing to let me take my time adjusting to things. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 3/10 Housetraining Status: I am still learning. A consistent schedule and lots of praise will help me learn faster! I should do well in a home: I should do well in a home with other dogs with proper introductions. I am nervous, so while I would do well in a home with kids of any age, a slow, controlled introduction would be best. My friends at the shelter are unsure how I would do with feline friends. My favorite activities are: I love to lounge in the sun and hang out next to my favorite people once I get to know you!
