Story
This is Pepper. He's the most lovable cat you'll ever meet. Pepper is an 8 year old rag doll with a huge personality, and even bigger opinions. He's lived with kids, other cats, and dogs throughout his life. He's not a huge fan if dogs, but tolerant aslong as he gets his dues. Although he looks angry, he's really just a silly lover at heart. He's a big cat, but when he hears his food hitting the dish, he runs like a bat out of hell. What he loves: - endlessly petting him - being held - joining in with everything you're doing - laying in the sun What he dislikes: - being told where not to go - not being the center of attention - car rides Why I'm re-homing him: I got him about a year ago just as my job started making me travel A LOT. He really needs some around consistently that can give him the attention he deserves. It's taken this long to make the hard decision.

Story
Leo is a nine-year-old, Norwegian forest cat with a handsome, black tuxedo coat. He is neutered, healthy, current on all vaccinations and weighs 11.5 lbs. Leo is an intelligent independent cat, who enjoys the company of people and likes to sit near by, but he is not typically a lap cat, and prefers minimal handling. He is sensitive, observant. He is litter trained, using his litter box for urination, and preferring to go outside for bowel movements. Leo spends several hours outside each day and has strong hunting instincts. He will on occasion bring home mice or birds. Because of this, he would do well as a working cat in a rural setting on a farm, or in a home with safe outdoor access. Leo loves chasing moving objects and exploring. We are seeking a loving new home for him due to our upcoming move to Japan.

Story
What my friends at OHS say about me:I have been working with the Behavior team here at OHS and am looking for a special home. Click the "meet me" button to start the process and schedule an appointment. To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout.Handling Sensitivity: I can be overwhelmed by overhandling, restraint or touch. I may exhibit my discomfort in a variety of ways and will need to go to cat savvy home.Overstimulation: I enjoy interacting with people, but petting can easily become overwhelming and unpleasant for me. I may exhibit my discomfort in a variety of ways, including biting, and need an owner who pays close attention to my body language.I am not your average Ragdoll!I know I'm gorgeous, and you're welcome to admire me from afar-but please don't pet me. I need time to build confidence and trust to form a strong bond before I'll feel comfortable with petting. I need plenty of space and time to observe my surroundings and people before feeling safe. I may meow and come close or rub on you for attention but that's not an invitation to pet me. Fast movements and people walking quickly by me make me nervous. Slow movements and gentle reassurance will help me feel more comfortable. I'm very spirited - I'll need positive outlets for my energy, hands-off playtime, and the ability to make decisions on my terms.I love the finer things in life- lounging around in my window perch sunbathing and watching wild life, playing with my favorite toys, rolling around in catnip, and eat yummy treats! The type of home I'm looking for:I would flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home. I am not for the first time cat owner. Someone very familiar with feline body language is a must for me. I need to go to a home without small children.I would prefer to be the only pet in the home.It could be with you! Click here to learn about the adoption process.
