Story
Eevee is a female tricolor Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier. She is 2-4 years old and weighs 14 lbs. Eevee is spayed, vaccinated including rabies. She tested heartworm negative and is on monthly preventive. Eevee is ready for adoption. Eevee was owner surrendered to a NW Louisiana shelter along with 3 members of her canine family (Roscoe, Dottie and April) due to changes for the human family. They have obviously been loved and used to being pets inside the home. Eevee and her family get along with each other and other dogs. They are friendly and social with new people. Eevee wants to play fetch but she lets Dottie rule the game. She just runs along. She is the most affectionate of the group and thrives on petting and cuddling. Eevee had a little anxiety that seemed to be related to a lot of unfamiliar activity in the rescue foster home and not enough face time with “her person.” Sometimes she shows this by nipping at your clothes (being overexcited by a person available). This behavior is very rare now that she is more comfortable. Eevee is smart but also a bit stubborn. She has lots of love to give. She is also manageable on a leash. Eevee can be adopted separately or with one or more of her crew. She seems to like them all, maybe Dottie a tad more. Eevee would enjoy a fenced area and a canine buddy. She might do well as an only dog with someone who is home with her a lot. Adoption fee is $275.
