Story
Odie is very anxious when left alone. My son recently moved out of state and I work all day. I feel Odie would be happier in a home with someone who is retired or works from home. He will let you know when he needs to go potty, but because I am gone all day he goes on a potty pad and occasional will urinate on his bed or the couch. I am told this is due to his anxiety. His stomach is sensitive so I feed him fresh food, specifically Spot and Tango beef and lamb. I am absolutely hear broken and the thought of giving him up, but I am moving in with a room mate due to finances and my room mate is not happy about having a dog. I just want what is best for him. I love him so much.

Story
Speed demon. Zoomie champion. Professional attention seeker. Loves being held like a baby and hops around like a little jackrabbit. At just 1 year old, this sweet boy is neutered, vaccinated, Milo is finally discovering what being a dog is supposed to feel like. Before coming to rescue, Milo spent most of his life confined to a crate and rarely left his apartment (maybe never). When he first arrived, he was scared, unsure, and spent nearly a week hiding under a bed while decompressing from the only life he had known. This goofy guy has come full circle—and his best days are still yet to come. He’s done the hard part. Now he’s ready for the next chapter: finding a patient, loving family that will continue helping him build confidence while giving him the stability, comfort, and love he deserves. 🔗www.dmdr.org

Story
Izzy became a Frosted Face after her owner moved into a memory care facility and could no longer care for her. She is 12 years old and weighs 15 pounds. Within days of arriving, Izzy was scooped up by one of our wonderful foster families, who have been giving her lots of TLC while we get to know her in a home setting. Here's what her foster family had to share about this special little girl: "Izzy is an incredibly sweet, shy, gentle, loving, and funny little baby. She has been in our home for almost three weeks and has come such a long way since her first day. When she first arrived, she was very anxious and unsure of her new surroundings. She hid under our bed to decompress and had a few tummy issues while adjusting. Whenever she felt comfortable, she would come out to observe us, explore our home, and slowly figure everything out. Now, she usually wants to be in the same room as us. Izzy has a great appetite and is very food motivated. After finishing her meal, she'll return to her empty bowl a few times as if she's hoping it will magically refill itself. She's also a little sneaky! Izzy will walk up to our blind dog while she's eating to steal any kibble that falls on the floor. She absolutely loves treats. If you're eating, she will stay close or sit in front of you and will sometimes start crying as her way of begging for food. If you leave the room, she may even try to stand to try to reach the table or jump on the couch to check if any food was left behind. We've also caught her channeling her inner "trash panda" by investigating the trash can in search of food. Izzy is potty trained and does a great job going outside. She sleeps quietly in her crate throughout the night without any issues. Sometimes, in the morning, she'll let out a few cries to let you know she's ready to go outside for a potty break. Izzy enjoys being petted and will gently push her head into your hand if you stop, letting you know she'd like you to keep going. She is not much of a cuddler, but will accept kisses and will sometimes even give a few back. Izzy can be skittish if approached too quickly, so a gentle and patient approach is best for her. Izzy gets along well with our dogs. They coexist peacefully and remain neutral with one another. One of our dogs has tried to initiate play a few times, but Izzy seems to be a little unsure of how to respond or disinterested in playing with. For the most part, Izzy is a quiet girl. We've only heard her bark a couple of times. She also makes the cutest little piggy noises and will sometimes cry when trying to get your attention. Izzy will do best in a home that is patient and understanding. She will definitely need time to decompress and adjust to a new environment. As she begins to feel safe, she'll become more comfortable, settle into her daily routine, and spend more time with her family. Even though she's only been with us for a short time, we've already fallen completely in love with her. Izzy is such a sweetheart, and whoever welcomes her into their home will be incredibly lucky to have her." To meet Izzy, please email: placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org

Aliyah is 3.5 months old and weighs 8 lbs. She’s playful and active, friendly with people, and social with other dogs. Aliyah and her siblings, Caitlin and Clark, were found with their mom Monique near a gas station in Tijuana. The puppies were approximately 5 days old; mama did a good job keeping her babies safe!
