Name: Chucho Best Guess for Breed: Rat terrier mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of December 2025 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 20 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. Chucho is Looking For: Chucho is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. He's eager to get his own humans in the DC area - he's a young boy and has so much to see and do. Long sniffy walks, romps with pup pals, and all the adventures his new family can dream up - yes, please! He also needs a welcoming resident dog who will help show him around. Most of all, he wants to know he's safe and under his own roof for all his days. In exchange, he promises to always put a smile on your face - and to give so much love and loyalty. What do you say? Is Chucho the one you see by your side?What My Foster Says About Me: Chucho is an absolute lover boy who adores cuddling and spending time with his people. He lives for pets and treats and is eager to learn, already knowing sit, stay, down, and fetch—and he could happily play fetch for hours. While he can be a little shy at first, once he knows he’s safe, he becomes a loyal, affectionate companion who loves being close by. Sweet, smart, and devoted, he’s ready to be someone’s very best friend. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
