This petite Rat Terrier mix is sweet, playful, affectionate, and packed with personality from the tips of her oversized ears to her hilariously expressive little face. She loves being around people and is always ready to join whatever is happening, whether that means playing, exploring, or curling up close when it’s time to relax. Skye does well with kids, cats, and other dogs, making her an easy little addition to a home looking for a social, happy companion. And while her photos may suggest she is deeply unimpressed with absolutely everything, don’t be fooled. Skye saves her famous pout for the camera. In person, she’s a cheerful, loving little girl with plenty of smiles to share. At around 5 months old and just 9 pounds, Skye is still growing into who she’ll become, but one thing is already obvious: she has a very big personality tucked into one very small package.

Hello! We have a senior dog that we are looking to rehome. Rocket is a 14 yr old rat terrier/beagle mix. We have had him over 11 years, but my daughter and I are not home enough now to give him the attention he needs. That leaves my elderly parents to care for him, and that is not fair to them or the dog. He’s a sweetheart who can be a pain in the butt. A combination of laying around and can’t sit still, with a side of begging (crying) for food. But he’s a good snuggler and sometimes will still play tug like a puppy! If you know anyone looking to add to their family who can give him the attention he needs, please let me know. They will love him. ❤️

Story
Lucas is a shy boy at first. Once he gets to know you, he is very happy to see you and loves to play with his ball. His is still wary whenever you touch him if he does not expect it. With the right amount of time and love he is a great companion. Lucas was found outside a school several months ago; he is learning that he is safe from having to fend for himself on the streets. He is also getting used to not marking in the house, but with belly bands and continued reinforcement we know he will learn and get better. He is also learning not to guard his toys. We do slow introductions with some dogs over and will continue to keep his profile updated on his progress. We are so happy we could save him from the shelter and give him a second chance at life; he is just a wonderful boy. He was recently moved to a different foster home where he will get exposure to more pets;some consistent walks and work on desensitization to stimuli that he has found alarming.

If you're looking for a workout buddy and cuddle companion all in one, Checkers may be your perfect match! At around 2 to 3 years old, she's full of energy and always ready for a walk, run, or outdoor adventure. She isn't much of a couch potato, but once the day is done, she's happy to curl up in her dog bed and sleep through the night. Checkers gets along well with other dogs and even shares her home with cats. She may give them an occasional chase, but she takes correction well and quickly moves on. Curious, friendly, and affectionate, she loves being involved in whatever her people are doing and is never far from a good snuggle. She's house-trained, has not needed to be crated, and can comfortably stay home for six or more hours without any accidents. Checkers is ready to bring joy, companionship, and plenty of fun to her forever home.
