We adopted Legolas about a month ago when he was just 8 weeks old. He was being given away in front of a grocery store, covered in fleas and clearly in need of some love and care. We brought him home intending for him to stay, but I unexpectedly became ill shortly afterward and am now facing surgery with a 4–6 week recovery. Unfortunately, I won’t be physically able to give a young puppy the consistent house training and attention he needs during that time.Legolas is an incredibly sweet boy who deserves a wonderful home where he can continue learning, playing, and being loved. He has received his first round of puppy vaccinations and was treated for fleas by Countryside Veterinary Clinic in Garnett.This is not a decision we wanted to make, so finding the right home is very important to us. We’d love for Legolas to go to someone prepared for all the fun—and work—that comes with raising a puppy.
