Story
Name:  Daisy Age: Spunky Senior Weight: 14 lbs Adoption Fee: $250.00 Good with Dogs?  Yes, but bossy so she’d be best as an only dog.  Good with cats?  She can be bossy with them so it’s best she doesn’t live with them. She can be around them safely for short visits.    Miss Daisy aka Daisy Dukes or Dukes, is  looking for her forever home.    She’s a spunky senior Rat Terrier with lots of life and  love left to give. Daisy loves people and she’d be a  perfect fit for someone who is retired but still active, or someone who works from home, enjoys daily walks  and would like to have a companion to join them. If  she gets to be a lap dog, even better. In a perfect  world, she’ll be showered with all of the attention and  not have to share it with other pets.    She is crate trained but, in all honesty, she doesn’t  love it. Daisy is fine being left loose in the home when  no one is there but she’s currently crated in her foster  home as she does tend to be a little bossy with the  other dogs at times.    Daisy likes meeting new people and enjoys car rides,  so if you like to go camping or travel around in an RV,  she’d be a great companion for you.    While she is an older girl, you wouldn’t know it by the  way she acts. She’s had a senior blood panel done  (she looks great!), a dental, she’s spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested  and micro chipped.    Don’t miss out on a wonderful new companion and get  your applications in now.    Adoption Process: Step 1:     Complete a "no obligation" application located on our website at pawprintsnky.com under the applications tab. Step 2:     PawPrints will review the application, verifying Vet and personal references as well as landlord requirements/restrictions (if applicable) Step 3:     IF your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a meet and greet for you to meet the pet. &#226&#128&#139Step 4:    If the meet and greet goes well, we will schedule the home visit.          November 14, 2024, 10:20 am

Story
Little Miss MAYA is the perfect blend of sweet, silly and sassy. She's a 3 year old 17 pound mixed breed girl. Our best guess is a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier-type mix. So a RatJack? JackRat? She's an affectionate girl who gets all wiggly when she sees her favorite people. She loves cuddle time and belly rubs. Maya loves to fetch and is also happy to amuse herself with her toys and chewys. She's happiest with her people and would love to be someone's trusted best friend and sidekick. If you adopt Maya, you can rest assured you will never need to be lonely in the bathroom again. Maya is best suited to a quiet home where there aren't a lot of scary strangers coming and going. She has the Type A personality one expects from terriers so she does need the occasional reminder that she is not the queen of the castle. She's an obedient little girl but without good leadership she may attempt to stage a coup and take over the household. Maya is ideally suited to a home with an experienced pet parent who knows what to expect from small terrier/chihuahua-type breeds. Maya is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Maya, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. Story
Tiny terrier type GERALDINE is a purebred lovebug. She absolutely loves lap time and cuddle time. And food. Geraldine appears to be a rat terrier/chihuahua-type mixed breed girl. She's 5-6 years old and fully grown at 11 pounds but could stand to gain a pound. Geraldine is such a gem, low/medium energy and good with everyone. She came to us from a rural shelter. In addition to the standard vet care we provide all of our dogs, Geraldine had a dental cleaning and a mammary tumor removed (PLEASE spay your female dogs to help prevent mammary tumors!). Geraldine's needs are pretty simple: love, a welcoming lap, food and more love. If you'd like to meet Geraldine, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Geraldine at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.
