  Danica is a small little Toy Fox Terrier with a tender heart and a deep desire to feel safe again. This 2 year old girl who weighs just 9 pounds, was found running scared and lost through a rough neighborhood in rural Tennessee and when no one came forward to claim her, it became clear she was meant to start a new chapter—one where security and love are a given, not a question.    She is the definition of a Velcro baby. Danica wants to be right beside her person, soaking up every moment of closeness she can get. Your lap, your side, the spot right at your feet—that’s where she’s happiest. She does well with cats and seems comfortable around other dogs, but her true favorite will always be her human. Danica is incredibly sweet, a little clingy, and completely honest about her need for reassurance. After the trauma of being lost and the abandonment she’s experienced, who could blame her? She is fully potty trained and thrives when she can form a strong bond with someone who enjoys snuggles, quiet companionship, and being deeply loved. Kodi has grown up here! She was found at only days old with no mom around so our director bottle fed her. She is soooo ready for a home of her own. She can be dog selective, but she loves playing with others. She loves cooling down in the pools in summer time. She loves walks and is good off leash, once she trusts you! Kodi loves her people, and loves affection and attention— she will try to steal it all! She’d do best in a home without kids. She’s a small but active girl and would make a great hiking partner! She loves cuddling with a blanket and toys at the end of the day. She can be stubborn in training, but she has the biggest heart! Meet Lizzie, a resilient survivor with the softest coat and the sweetest heart. Lizzie’s story began behind a Piggly Wiggly in Camden, AL, where she and her friends Buster and Belle were struggling to survive. Severely emaciated, covered in ticks and fleas, and frightened by the busy world around her, Lizzie’s chances looked slim. But with rescue, safety, and care, she blossomed into a healthy, happy pup. Now her true personality shines. Lizzie is endlessly snuggly and sweet, the kind of companion who loves nothing more than curling up close. Her short coat is silky soft, and her gentle nature makes her a joy to be around. Lizzie has made a full recovery and is thriving, but her heart still beats strongest when she’s near her best friend Buster. Ideally, these two inseparable companions would find a home together, where they can continue their journey side by side. Story
Hi, my name is Sandy.  Some call me Super Sandy because I am such a great girl.  Others call me Sheriff Sandy, as I have made it my job to patrol the yard when I hear a noise.  We have a nice fenced-in yard with lots of room to run and a doggie door in the back door.  That makes it very easy for me to do my self-appointed job.     Only a few weeks ago, I was a homeless girl abandoned in a neighborhood behind a veterinary clinic.  This nice lady took me to the vet.  They agreed to help me and let me stay there.  After my photo session for my online post, the staff called Critter Cavalry.  Now I am the lucky one enjoying life in a wonderful foster home.  It is amazing how quickly things can change. When I am not on patrol, I enjoy time with my foster brothers and sisters.  We have lots of room to play outside and room inside to relax.  I am fitting right in.  Not long after I arrived, my foster mom came home with a little scruffy boy who was also abandoned.  We shared our stories and became fast friends.  He has been adopted.  Now it is my turn.   I would love an active family that spends time outdoors.  It would also be great if they had children and another dog for me to play with.  Since I do like to patrol, a fenced-in yard is a must.  I also tend to bark when I hear noises.  Because of that, apartment life is definitely not for me.  I ride well in the car and walk ok on a leash.  I could use a refresher course in that.  I am very smart and catch on quickly.   To learn more about me and to request an application, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  I am currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  January 13, 2026, 6:14 pm
