Best friend Buddy is the total package. He loves people and greets everyone, always eager for attention.   At 12, Buddy ended up in a rural Tennessee shelter. We do not know his backstory or why such a sweet boy would land in a shelter. We may never know.     At Critter Cavalry, we adore seniors and believe they deserve every chance to find a loving home. You won’t regret considering Buddy—he loves everyone, whether human or animal. Buddy is everyone’s best friend.     Buddy is healthy for a senior. He has limited sight and hearing, but is otherwise in good shape. He navigates his foster home easily and enjoys exploring the fenced yard. He comes when called—just use a louder voice.   Buddy is ready to retire with a couple eager to add him to their family. He’d love a fenced yard to explore—size isn’t important—and an active retirement with short walks and car rides. He will be a wonderful addition to a family that matches his lifestyle.   If you want a new best friend, Buddy is perfect for you. Kodi has grown up here! She was found at only days old with no mom around so our director bottle fed her. She is soooo ready for a home of her own. She can be dog selective, but she loves playing with others. She loves cooling down in the pools in summer time. She loves walks and is good off leash, once she trusts you! Kodi loves her people, and loves affection and attention— she will try to steal it all! She’d do best in a home without kids. She’s a small but active girl and would make a great hiking partner! She loves cuddling with a blanket and toys at the end of the day. She can be stubborn in training, but she has the biggest heart! Oreo's owner has had her for 5 wonderful years but then the family had a baby and the baby became a toddler and it has all been too much for Oreo, too much unbounded kid, not enough space. She loves to cuddle, loves attention and being petted.  She will let you know if you start to slack off petting her.   She would love an active family with older respectful kids.  She loves to play fetch and to run.  Her trainer suggested agility training as she is incredibly fast and agile.  We think she would thrive on the challenge of a course and competition.  But even if she just went running and hiking with you, she would be an excellent companion who would keep you both motivated. She can be OK with other dogs, as long as they are at least medium to large size, not small ones.
