Story
Orville is a pocket-sized lovebug with big terrier energy and an even bigger heart. Social, affectionate, and endlessly happy, he’s the kind of puppy who wants to be wherever you are and will happily make himself your shadow.
He’s nearly fully potty trained and does a great job letting you know when he needs to go out. Orville has settled nicely into foster life and does well being home with another dog. He hasn’t shown any destructive behavior and really just wants companionship and connection.
Orville is wonderful with other dogs, cats, and kids. He’s lived with dogs of different ages and sizes, respects boundaries when corrected, and even has a feline friend he enjoys playing with. He’s done great with children and is all about belly rubs, cuddles, and kisses.
He’s a typical high-energy terrier in the best way. Curious, adventurous, and always ready to go, Orville loves exploring the yard, going on walks, and being part of whatever the day brings. Quieter streets and trails are his favorite while he continues getting used to busier areas.
Orville thrives on human interaction and would be happiest in a home where he isn’t alone all day. Whether as an only dog with plenty of attention or with another dog for company, he’s adaptable, social, and eager to please.
This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)

Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.
Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.
