Story
Meet Cinder. He’s 17 pounds of Rat Terrier brains, a world-class snuggler, and a dog who definitely knows his worth. Cinder is looking for a home that understands he isn’t just a dog—he’s a tiny, furry professor. : : Former resident of a busy Texas foster home. He’s “interned” with dogs of all sizes and ages and is officially cat-approved (dog-savvy felines only, please!). : Professional-grade puzzle solving, snuffle mat mastery, and “sniff-search” enthusiast. If you want a dog that just sits there, keep scrolling. Cinder wants to work for his kibble. : Highly adaptable. Whether you work from home or head to the office, Cinder is cool with the vibe. “” : : Cinder is looking for an adult-only sanctuary. He’s a sophisticated guy who prefers a mature audience. : Cinder has a strict “No Moisture” policy. If it’s pouring outside, he will refuse to move. He’s not being difficult; he’s just protecting the pelt. He’ll need a patient human to help him navigate his fair-weather potty habits! : He’s great in his crate at night, provided he’s in the same room as you. He likes to know his staff is nearby. : • Finding the warmest spot in the house (heat-seeker status: Expert). • Chasing the flirt pole. • Intense cuddling (No kisses yet—he’s a first-name-basis kind of guy). • Alerting you to the Amazon delivery driver with a brief, professional bark. Cinder is a smart, neutral, and easy-going companion who just needs a family that respects his intellect and his love of a good dry blanket. ’ ?   This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)   To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   PLEASE READ:     •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.     •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.     •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.   Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.   Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.   For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. ##2690399##
