After the recent passing of her owners, she’s looking for a new home to give her the same care and stability she’s always known. She has a gentle, calm personality, enjoys companionship, and does well with other dogs. Skye would thrive in a peaceful home where she can relax and feel safe. Skye loves roaming the backyard and going on adventure walks. She LOVES other dogs. She is not food aggressive and is currently free fed. This change is no fault of her own—just heartbreaking circumstances. She has so much love to give and deserves a soft place to land in her golden years.Adoption fee goes to a pet rescue of your choice.

Cam has been waiting and waiting for his chance to come to Massachusetts. Transport after transport, his name comes up, and every time there’s nowhere for him to go. This sweet boy has been waiting in foster for months... Cam is a friendly, happy boy who enjoys being around people and does well with other dogs. Story
Gracie is a plucky, sweet Rat Terrier mix with a gentle heart. She came to the shelter when her family moved, and while it’s been an adjustment, her loving personality is still shining through. In her previous home, Gracie was a champion cuddler who loved squeaky toys, romping with other dogs at the park, and even knew when it was time to tuck herself into bed.Gracie is crate trained and very smart, but she can be shy when meeting new people and needs a little time to feel safe. Once she warms up, she’s a loyal, affectionate companion. She’d do best in a home with teens or older who can respect her need for patience and understanding. With a little time and love, Gracie will make a wonderful, devoted addition to the right home.If you are interested in adopting Gracie, please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12-4 during out walk in hours. If you are unable to come to the shelter please email dogs@worcesterarl.org to see what other times may be available by appointment.

Story
Are you looking for a devoted companion who treats you like the center of the universe? Look no further! This sweet senior boy is ready to find his forever retirement home.✨ He is the ultimate "independent but affectionate" partner. When you’re away, he’s a total pro—calm, cool, and perfectly fine on his own. But the moment you walk through that door? He’s your personal shadow, following you from room to room to ensure you’re never without a friend. Our boy is a "thinker." He’s a sensitive soul who values stability and routine. Because he takes a little extra time to settle into new environments, he’s looking for a patient family who understands that the best things in life are worth waiting for. Once he knows he’s safe, his loyalty is unmatched! - Adults Only: He prefers a calm, predictable environment, so a home without children is a must. - Animal Friends: He’s a social guy! He has successfully lived with both dogs and cats in the past. - The "Social Eater": He loves a little company during mealtime! Don’t be surprised if he wants you nearby while he enjoys his dinner. 🥣 - Crate Trained: He’s a gentleman in his crate and considers it his safe "den." If you have a quiet home and a heart big enough for a sensitive old soul, he’s waiting to meet you! 🧡🐕‍🦺 Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter. Story
Meet Cinder. He’s 17 pounds of Rat Terrier brains, a world-class snuggler, and a dog who definitely knows his worth. Cinder is looking for a home that understands he isn’t just a dog—he’s a tiny, furry professor. : : Former resident of a busy Texas foster home. He’s “interned” with dogs of all sizes and ages and is officially cat-approved (dog-savvy felines only, please!). : Professional-grade puzzle solving, snuffle mat mastery, and “sniff-search” enthusiast. If you want a dog that just sits there, keep scrolling. Cinder wants to work for his kibble. : Highly adaptable. Whether you work from home or head to the office, Cinder is cool with the vibe. “” : : Cinder is looking for an adult-only sanctuary. He’s a sophisticated guy who prefers a mature audience. : Cinder has a strict “No Moisture” policy. If it’s pouring outside, he will refuse to move. He’s not being difficult; he’s just protecting the pelt. He’ll need a patient human to help him navigate his fair-weather potty habits! : He’s great in his crate at night, provided he’s in the same room as you. He likes to know his staff is nearby. : • Finding the warmest spot in the house (heat-seeker status: Expert). • Chasing the flirt pole. • Intense cuddling (No kisses yet—he’s a first-name-basis kind of guy). • Alerting you to the Amazon delivery driver with a brief, professional bark. Cinder is a smart, neutral, and easy-going companion who just needs a family that respects his intellect and his love of a good dry blanket. ’ ?   This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)   To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   PLEASE READ:     •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.     •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.     •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.   Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.   Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.   For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. ##2690399##

Story
Meet Sam, a 9-year-old neutered male Rat Terrier with a huge heart and deep devotion to his people. He has been loved since puppyhood, and we are seeking a home where he can truly thrive. Sam is affectionate, gentle, loyal, and happiest when included in daily life. He bonds closely and loves to relax near his person. He is fully house trained, crate trained, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. He has received excellent veterinary care and responds well to calm, consistent leadership. He is used to a training e-collar and understands structure. Sam would do best as the only dog in a peaceful home where someone is around often. He will come with his crate, bowls, toys, e-collar, and complete vet records. He has so much love to give and deserves a devoted forever home. We would love to meet potential adopters for a walk or hello!
