Story
Dumpster Dan is all puppy energy and goofy charm. He loves to play, loves other dogs, and thinks life is one big adventure. He’s still learning the world, so new people can throw him off for a minute. If someone swoops in to scoop him up too fast, he’ll duck away or hide until he feels safe again. Give him a little space, sit down, offer a treat, and he warms up quickly.   He’s great with dogs his size and does just fine with larger ones too. At night he sleeps through without accidents. During the day he’ll cry or paw at the door to let you know he needs a potty break or wants to go outside with the other dogs.   Rescue story: Dan was found as a stray. His foster believes he had just been abandoned, as he was alone but clearly had been someone’s puppy.   This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.) To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. PLEASE READ:  •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.  •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.    •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments. Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well. Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation. For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. Sandy Paws Rescue’s MA license number # 0272 ##2561322##

Story
Finn is a 9-year-old neutered male Rat Terrier with a bold spirit and big personality. He’s lightning-fast, clever, and affectionate in his own unique way a true terrier at heart. Independent yet loyal, Finn bonds on his own terms and will reward patience with deep trust and love. Rehoming Finn & Sam is a difficult decision made with care. Though both boys are friendly, they’ve developed littermate syndrome, and we believe they’ll thrive separately in loving homes. Finn is fully vaccinated, microchipped, crate and house trained, and from champion Warren Mountain Rat Terrier lines. He’s had excellent vet care and responds well to his e-collar. He’ll do best in an active, dog-savvy home that appreciates a spirited, intelligent dog who loves to run and explore. He comes with his crate, toys, bowls, e-collar, and vet records. Finn’s independent charm and quick wit make him unforgettable if you’re ready for a loyal, smart companion with heart, Finn might be your perfect match.
