Story
This adorable 5 year old rat terrier mix might take a minute to warm up, but once he decides you’re his person, he becomes the sweetest little Velcro buddy you’ve ever met. Remy loves nothing more than sticking right by your side and soaking up all the companionship he can get. He’s doing pretty well with his potty training, just keep in mind that if he’s left inside for too long, he may have an accident. He’s a good boy who tries his best! Remy gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, and he loves playing with dog friends. Because he bonds so closely with his people, he can sometimes be protective of them or his space, against anybody (dogs, cats, or new strangers) if he feels like they’re getting too close to his humans. He’s overall pretty good at sharing, but his people are precious to him, and he wants to make sure they’re safe. For that reason, we recommend a child-free home or a home with older kids who understand that he needs to take things slow. He’ll also do best in a household that can kennel him or keep him separate when strangers come over, unless those visitors are ready to help him warm up at his own pace. Remy loves being hitched up in a harness for walks, he’ll trot along happily, but he’s not a fan of collars, so a comfy harness is definitely his style. This handsome guy recently had a dental done and had a few teeth pulled, so his mouth is all freshened up and good to go! He’s also vaccinated for rabies, DAPP, and Bordetella, plus he’s microchipped, neutered, heartworm negative and ready for his forever home. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with a huge heart, Remy is your guy.
