Story
If you want someone who acts like you’ve been gone for years every time you come home—Enzo is your guy. This little bundle of joy somehow goes a million miles an hour without actually moving, wiggling with excitement the second he sees his people. And then? The moment you sit down, he transforms into a full-time lap dog, ready for belly rubs and snuggles. Enzo is incredibly friendly and loves everyone he meets—kids, dogs, you name it. He’s even pretty unbothered by cats. He’s soft, small, portable, and happiest when he’s as close to you as physically possible (ideally under your chin, nuzzled into your neck like he’s still in the honeymoon phase of a relationship). He also loves sleeping in bed with his humans and will absolutely claim his spot. He’s crate trained and does well while his people are away. He’s picked up potty training quickly, though he may need a little encouragement to head outside in the mornings—he’d much rather stay cuddled up with you. Enzo is also working on leash walking… and let’s just say it’s a journey. He started by becoming one with the ground, then graduated to slithering like a snake, and now will walk until he feels pressure and dramatically sits to reassess life choices. Walking with another dog helps, and he’s making progress every day. A fenced yard would be ideal while he continues learning leash skills. He may need a belly band initially in a new home as he adjusts, but he has already shown that he can settle in quickly and move past marking behaviors. Enzo isn’t exactly an athlete—he tries to jump like he’s in an action movie but often ends up more like a cat-fail compilation. Stairs? Suspicious at best. But what he lacks in coordination, he more than makes up for in charm, affection, and pure joy. He’s not just a good boy—he’s the best boy. ✨ Three Things You Must Know About Enzo: He is incredibly affectionate—a true velcro dog who wants to be as close to you as possible. He’s still learning leash skills, so patience (and ideally a fenced yard) will help him succeed. He thrives on companionship, great with dogs, kids, and happy to be part of everything you do. Enzo is a male Rat Terrier/Dachshund mix who was was born approximately 3-31-24 and currently weighs 11 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, tested heartworm negative and given heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. ***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website. Story
Milo was a 2 yr old rescue who was being fostered. I adopted him 1 yr ago and he is a sweet, lovable, very smart dog. He will lay in your lap or cuddle next to you. He is energetic and is protective of his owner/home. He knows stop, sit, wait and is trainable. He loves to walk, run, chase rabbits, squirrels, play ball, and play with other dogs. He's very healthy. I feed him all natural, organic pet food. He loves riding in cars and going for walks. He can get excited and will bark at other people/dogs to alert you. He is very gentle when accepting food by your hand and has a graceful trot when walking. He loves to follow you around and wants to be near his owner. If you want an attentive, playful, healthy, highly intelligent little dog, Milo is for you. I prefer that he has a home with a fenced in back yard to run, roam, and maybe other dogs to play with. You will get all pet items (beds/strollers/toys). I would like a pet owner who prefers healthy pet foods and minimal vaccines.
