Story
Meet Tony! My family and I found him while walking around the neighborhood the day after Christmas he followed us home and we took him in after we discovered he was good with our dogs. He's about 1 year old. He's smart, loves watching TV, loves playing with toys (his favorite are sticks) and is the sweetest boy. My family and I plan to move next month and we found out that the rental property that were moving into has a pet limit of 2 per household. We also tried looking at other places to live to keep our pack together, but we had no luck. He does well with other dogs and children. He is crate trained (knows the command "crate"). He's potty trained. He will bark be let out and has some separation anxiety (normal with the breed).

Story
Are you looking for a medium-energy gal who likes to lounge around the house, walks well on the leash, and is fully house-trained? Chicky, who weighs 15 lbs. and is around 4 years-old, might be the perfect pup for you! Chicky has been very friendly to all the people she has met in her foster home. She is not a big barker but will join in when the other dogs in her foster home bark. She has not expressed much interest in toys or playing with other dogs. Chicky currently sleeps in a crate at night but she would prefer to sleep in bed with you! She is trustworthy to be left out in the house when her foster parents are at work. Chicky gets along with the other dogs in her foster home very well. However, she can be a little dominant when she is on furniture or when there is excitement and especially so with the older female dog in the house. If applicants have other dogs in the home, they should have experience dealing with dogs that exhibit dominant behavior. Overall, Chicky is a sweet, loving, funny dog, with a lot of personality!  To see more pictures of this chocolate-colored beauty, follow this link  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/chicky  .Beginning March 1, 2025, our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs or $300 for puppies under 6 months old. Story
Jackie is 1 year old 20 lb. Jack Russell Terrier mix. Say hello to Jackie, the ultimate wiggle worm with a heart full of potential! This bouncy and lovable Jack Russell Terrier mix is looking for a forever family who can be patient, understanding, and ready to embrace her unique quirks. Jackie is almost potty-trained, making great progress with crate training, and eager to continue learning with the right guidance. Jackie is full of energy and adores playtime—she loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with one or two similarly sized, easygoing canine companions. However, she might not be the best fit for households with small kids due to her enthusiasm for jumping. A fenced yard is a must for Jackie, where she can safely zoom around and burn off her endless Jack Russell energy. Toys and treats are her favorites, and she’s curious and playful, always keeping things lively. Though she’s timid with new people, Jackie’s love is worth the wait. Once she trusts you, she’ll shower you with kisses and even snuggle up for some quality cuddle time. She does, however, need her own space to decompress, as she can still be reserved in certain situations. With consistent training, Jackie’s leash manners and potty-training will continue to improve! Jackie’s ideal home is a quieter, patient household where she can feel safe and supported. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Jackie could be your perfect match. Are you ready to be her trusted partner in life’s adventures? *Jackie is Heartworm positive and will receive full treatment through CrisisDogsNC. She may be adopted prior to completing HW treatment. The full treatment will be paid for by the rescue. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. to ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!March 31, 2025, 10:41 am
