Story
Tiny 9 1/2 lb. Chloe was abandoned by previous owners, taken to a humane society, and quickly rescued by New Rattitude.  As you can see in her photos, Chloe has just one functioning eye, the likely result of negligence to treat a condition called dry eye. But 9-year-old Chloe is a 'glass-half-full' kind of girl, so she uses that beautiful eye to charm her humans into giving belly rubs in the morning and snuggling sessions at night. She'll also do a delightful dance for her dinner.    In addition to being an accomplished cuddler, this rattie (who's probably mixed with something equally cute) is fully house-trained and walks extremely well on a leash. If you have a fenced backyard, she'll show you how quickly she pumps her short little legs to run about off leash. She's also adept at going up steps but doesn't feel confident about going down. She would probably feel more comfortable and independent in a house without stairs. She really likes her three larger-size rat terrier foster siblings, although she's still learning how to interact with them since she can't see them when they're on her left. She doesn't always hear them either since an earlier untreated ear infection left her with partial hearing. She hasn't been around cats or kids, but she doesn't have any personality traits to suggest that she wouldn't be OK with either.    To preserve Chloe's remaining vision, she receives daily prescription eyedrops (approximate cost $65/month), and what a good patient she is! In addition, because a liver enzyme has been slightly but not seriously elevated, her vet recommends a daily liver supplement (approximate cost $25/month) and annual or semiannual liver enzyme tests. We hope you'll agree that it's money well spent to ensure a long, healthy life for such a consummate cuddling companion. Chloe hopes you won't be concerned about what looks like a poochy midriff. It's a lipoma, a common fatty growth that's benign and painless, and it doesn't detract from her cuteness factor one bit.    A couch, a warm lap, a gentle hand, and a tender heart--that's everything needed to turn Chloe's glass half full into a cup overflowing. Be the one that makes it happen! You can see more photos and video of Chloe in her online photo album at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/chloe .Our adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs or $250 for puppies under 6 months old. Story
Cowboy is approximately 12 years old and in great health. He loves chasing squirrels, toasting in the sun, play tug of war, and the usual games. He's very friendly with other dogs, and has been a great pet. We originally adopted him for my wife's grandmother 10 years. When she passed a couple years ago we took him in with the intention of finding him a new forever home. We previously had two dogs, and 3 dogs has become too much. We recently moved across the country and no longer have the space for 3 dogs. Cowboy would love to be in a home as a single dog or with others, and doesn't require anything other than love and affection.
