Story
Zoey has been with us for many years due to her little quirks but has over come so much. She came to us with a malformed urethra which caused her to have constant UTIs. We had that repaired which helped with infections but she couldn’t control her urethra as well as a completely normal female so she has little leaks at times. It seems with age that has improved. She very very seldom leaks at all anymore. She absolutely loves to be outside BUT she absolute hates gunfire and fireworks. She will jump any fence to get out of her yard to get in the house from loud noises. She is VERY protective of her people and love love loves to play ball!!! She kennels well though it’s not needed. She does well on leash and loves car rides. She gets along well either way others as long as they don’t hog HER ball.

Story
This adorable girl is Ellie Mae! Ellie Mae is an approximately 4.5-year-old female Dachshund/Rat Terrier who weighs around 7-8 lbs. She was rescued from a small shelter in Oklahoma. Ellie Mae is a friendly and playful adult dog, who is affectionate, loyal and will be a heartbeat at your feet. She loves to play and run around and would enjoy a home with a yard. With her playful nature and desire to explore, Ellie Mae will need ANOTHER PLAYFUL DOG in the home as well as a stockade fence to dampen her desire to explore unattended. When she's not playing, Ellie Mae is happy to just be sitting in your lap! Ellie Mae is not a fan of cats and has not been around children, so she would be best in a home with children 8+. She also makes a game of trying to grab your feet when you walk. She is a wonderful little dog and a great companion. She would love to snuggle up with you on the couch and keep you warm with her furry body. If you are looking for a loyal companion, Ellie Mae might be the perfect fit! HOME CHECK REQUIRED! Ellie M is crate-trained and house-trained to a doggy door. She will need assistance with leash training. We recommend a harness. Ellie Mae is spayed, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250. To adopt Ellie Mae, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application to apply.

Story
Mr Pickles is a 4-year-old Rat Terrier mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s a smart, affectionate boy who loves being with his people and is happiest when he can be right by your side. He’s a wonderful combination of playful and cuddly. He enjoys going for walks, playing ball, and showing off how smart and trainable he is—but when the fun is over, he’s more than happy to curl up next to you for some quality cuddle time.Mr Pickles has done well with kids and gets along nicely with little dogs. He also does well around a larger dog and mostly just ignores them. We haven’t had an opportunity to see how he feels about cats yet, so a cat introduction would need to be handled carefully.Because he bonds closely with his person, Mr Pickles can be a little bit of a “Velcro dog.” He likes to know where his people are and can get vocal when he has to be left alone, particularly when kenneled. The good news is that he isn’t destructive, and his house manners have been very good. His only indoor accident happened when he was let out of his kennel and didn’t get outside quite quickly enough.Mr Pickles would love a home where he can be part of the family and have plenty of companionship, walks, playtime, and affection. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will happily follow you around, play ball with you, and then snuggle up beside you, Mr Pickles may be your guy! If interested in him, please complete an application on our website at www.allpawsrescueok.org. He is neutered, vaccinated for this year, tested negative for heartworms, microchipped, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $150.00.

Story
Meet Thomas, a super sweet little guy with a big personality packed into less than 20 pounds. Our best guess is that Thomas is a Rat Terrier or Chihuahua mix, and his smaller size could make him a great fit for apartment living. Thomas likes to play, loves his chew treats, and is polite about both. He is kennel trained and typically does very well about keeping his kennel clean. He also is not a huge barker. He gets a little excited in the mornings, but overall he is one of the quieter dogs in the shelter. Thomas has done well with most of the dogs we have introduced him to so far, too. More than anything, Thomas is a people dog. He is definitely Man’s Best Friend material and is happiest when he gets to be close to someone. In fact, Thomas has spent enough time hanging out in the shelter office that he seems pretty convinced he already lives there. 😂 Thomas was recently neutered and is fully vaccinated, so he is ready for his forever home. If you are looking for a sweet, playful, affectionate little companion, come meet Thomas at Tuttle Animal Shelter. 📍 Tuttle Animal Shelter 📞 405-381-8565
