Story
Pixie and Trixie are in need of a loving home. They have been together for years and we would like them to stay together. Pixie is a wonderful little spayed Mini Pinscher who loves to be petted and adored. She is approximately 9 years old but still has a lot of spunk. She thinks she’s the boss and enjoys walks with her bonded companion Trixie (Rat Terrier). Pixie likes to lay next to you on the couch. She knows command to “sit” and will go to her large kennel cage when you point and say “cage”. She is house and kennel trained. Pixie may be nervous around larger dogs until she gets used to them. When she is nervous her kennel is her safe space. Trixie loves everyone! She is 8 years old, spayed, very friendly, well behaved and obedient. She needs an average amount of exercise, but prefers to be a couch potato! She is also house and kennel trained. Trixie loves to eat and needs to have controlled portions of food. Pixie and Trixie are still in the care of their family. If you are interested in meeting them, please send in your application, which can be found on their profile page at www.caninerescue.org. Just what is a Courtesy Listing? It is a list of dogs, that through no fault of their own, are looking for a new home. NCCR has agreed to post these dogs until a home is found. Any adoption and rehoming fee will be arranged through the dog’s caregiver. The application will be forwarded to their caregiver where applications are reviewed and contact made to the interested parties. Story
Sugar is fairly new to our family. We’ve had medical problems and family emergencies and have to find places for our babies. She’s had a hard life. We got her from one of those Amish puppy mills, they didn’t want her anymore because she couldn’t produce puppies. When she first came she didn’t come to anyone, she was afraid of everything and everyone and especially men.. and if they moved their legs. We can’t say what happened but we have worked for a year and she loves us and will come and want pets. She still has trouble snuggling, she’s not there yet. It took us a while to get her to potty train and if she has a regular schedule she does very well. Except when it’s raining. lol when it’s raining she might as well be a wiener dog or chihuahua lol. I said no to cats because we had a very small cat and she hunted and killed it. She hunts everything. We also have a large cat that she never touches. She is a lovey.
