Story
Meet Brownie! He is a sweet boy that will cuddle with you on the couch! He is current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, multiple dewormings. His mother was at minimum majority American Bulldog and we believe he might have had a different dad than his siblings. His siblings are definitely lab and his possibilities are hound/ beagle/ lab. He is a little smaller than his siblings. A fenced yard is required to adopt Brownie. His foster mom has been working with him on leash training and he has been doing great! He has been fully potty/crate trained. Brownie gets little spurts of energy and will run around with his siblings in the yard and loves for you to play with him too! Brownie is looking for someone who can give him a fair amount of attention. He would love to have a person with more time available than his foster mom. He adores cats, so his new home must have a kitty friend. If you think Brownie would make the perfect addition to your family please e-mail spar.crissi@gmail.com for an application! A veterinary reference is preferred to adopt a puppy and required for current/previous pets. We normally respond within 24-48 hours at the most.

These pups are in Hoover, Alabama too!

Story
Meet Sweet Pea, a 4-year-old shepherd mix who would be perfect for almost any home. Sweet Pea is great with cats, has an extremely high tolerance for crazy kids and walks absolutely perfectly on a leash. It really does not get any easier than Sweet Pea.  Sweet Pea was found wandering and pregnant, and she was taken into rescue late last year. Her 11 puppies all found homes in January, and since then Sweet Pea has gone from stressed mama to the most joyful, carefree dog. After a life that probably wasn’t so ideal, Sweet Pea now exudes happiness. She’s so grateful for her new life!    Based on a breed test from one of her puppies, Sweet Pea is likely a German Shepherd, Treeing Walker Coonhound, Chow Chow and American Pit Bull Terrier mix. She’s medium height and weighs about 45 lbs full grown. She’s crate trained, fully potty trained and travels well in the car. On a leash, she is perfection: she walks right next to you and never pulls.  At home, Sweet Pea is calm and a little lazy. She takes lots of naps and loves to be near her person. She also loves a good nap in the sunshine, and prefers to sleep on her back with all four paws up in the air. Sweet Pea doesn’t need a ton of exercise, but she loves a walk and enjoys meeting new people out in the world.   Sweet Pea is in a foster home with two young children, and she really is wonderful with children of all ages and energy levels. She even does well with children in large groups and has shown an affinity for children with special needs.   Sweet Pea also spends lots of time with the two cats in her foster home. She has formed a close bond with one of those cats and respects the personal space of the one that isn’t interested in her. Although she isn’t currently in a home with other dogs, Sweet Pea has done well with all the dogs she has met. And of course she was the best mama to her 11 puppies.   Sweet Pea is truly the most perfect, turn-key dog, and any family would be lucky to have her. Apply today if you want to be that lucky family.
