Story
Crusher's DOB is 11/25/2019. He is a brown and white Redbone Coonhound/Cattle Dog. Crusher is a really handsome dog who was adopted as a cute little puppy back in 2019, but was returned recently for some bad habits that he picked up in his previous home. He's definitely a lot bigger than he was the last time he was here, and we suspect that his previous home was not able to provide the firm guidance and training necessary to help Crusher be the amazing pet we know he can be. From what we can tell at the Haven, Crusher would make an extremely loyal pet, but he takes quite a while and some coaxing to get used to new people. If you pet him before he really gets to know you, he gets pretty scared and has even snapped (albeit with soft warning bites and a big scary bark) at people who move too quickly with him. Luckily, Crusher's issues are totally fixable with a human who can be a strong leader in his life, and we know that for an experienced owner, he'll be an absolute breeze! DOB 11-25-19All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. For more information, please email us at havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com, or give us a call at 417-835-3647....All pets have lifetime sanctuary at Haven of the Ozarks. If they cannot remain with their adopter, they must be returned to the Haven.Adoption fees are as follows: Puppies under the age of 6 months - $150Dogs weighing 30 pounds and less - $200Dogs over 6 months old- $90Cats under the age of 6 months old - $75Cats over the age of 6 months old - $65Special adoption fees may apply to some animals.

Story
Mazzie 6907 Harrier & Treeing Walker Coonhound Mix Rogers, AR Adult Female Large Petfinder recommends that you should always take reasonable security steps before making online payments. Meet Mazzie 6907 Mazzie became one of the photographer’s favorite canines even before they had the opportunity to join in a bark park odyssey. At the end of the day, the human walks the shelter corridors greeting the dogs and usually becoming the hotdog man with treats to share. Mazzie quickly learned to welcome his approach with her distinctive true to life hound bay, expressed with nicely tempered anticipation and assurance. When he reached her kennel, 7-year-old Mazzie would be waiting expectantly, standing with civility, and accepting a treat with great courtesy. Once in the park, Mazzie, with hound curiosity, checked out the invisible world of sniffs and when requested, proudly posed with a canine air of invincibility. She then turned her attention to a multi-colored “flying” fish with inquisitiveness and imagination. She may not have realized the fortuitous match of Jonquil’s and bandana, but her Mona Lisa smile made it an artist’s symphony.

Story
Billy Jean 6919 Hound Rogers, AR Adult Female Large Petfinder recommends that you should always take reasonable security steps before making online payments. Meet Billy Jean 6919 The photographer considers himself to be somewhat schooled in recognizing the status and descriptives of the canines, but there was an occasion where he was wholly surprised when confronted with a thankful reality. Every day after the shelter closes, he walks the corridors and says a kind hi to the residents and shares a healthy, delectable treat with all. In these cursory visits he had underestimated the potential and overestimated the age of a quiet, peaceful canine who has become known as Billy Jean. It took only two minutes into the bark park session before the human was reeducated by a spritely, spirited, joy filled Billy Jean. She is a perfect example of a Billy Hound genetic replete with long ears, muscular legs and a smooth, short tan/white fur decorated with orange and white spots. 4-year-old Billy Jean is a bubbly, buoyant, and bouncy canine blessed with a smile repertoire that ranges from “down home” to “I’m your best forever friend” to an impish grin that brings a “I don’t know why but I just have to give you a hug” feeling. She walks easily on leash, takes treats gently and just wants to be close to you. Billy Jean is filled with cheerful energies and an amazing desire to please. She was a little bit shy, but she felt it was ok to tell you that she has a canine crush on the handsome next door kennel Husky, who, when you meet him, you will appreciate why.
